New morning routine just dropped

Today, I realized why I've developed painful, flaky, dry patches above my upper lip. It's from kissing my new boyfriend, whose facial hair irritates my skin. He really dislikes how he looks without it, so my best option might be to just stop kissing him. FML

I had a mustache for a long time. One girlfriend once told me to use hair conditioner (like for the hair on your head) on it to make it less scratchy. It helped somewhat and so would a bit of a trim around the lips. You should be able to discuss this if you are boyfriend girlfriend and find a workable and fair solution. But everyone has a certain self-image that is important to them. This is not a time or subject to lay down threats or demands about.

Maybe he can give it a nice trim as an alternative? 5 o'clock shadow looks nice. There's gotta be an alternative other than to stop making out.

It sounds like OP could clean her pots and pans with her boyfriend's 5 o'clock shadow. Better let it grow and condition it. Hey, if it's long enough, he could braid it out of the way. Good bye flaky upper lip!

I'm guessing oral sex is out, too? Who wants dry, flaky patches there?
