All shook up

Today, in an effort to save some money, I attempted to paint my own house. Instead, I fell off the ladder and broke my dominant arm. Now I can’t work, brush my teeth, or even wipe my ass. My house is half-painted with stuff everywhere and I have 6 weeks to recover. FML

I cannot believe that your non-dominant arm cannot manage to brush your teeth or wipe you ass. God help those around you if that’s true… Painting a house is a big job. It requires skill and equipment and liability insurance. People who do that for a living have all that or they won’t be in the business long. That’s not to say an amateur couldn’t do it, but it’s not as quick or easy as you would imagine. Especially doing something you’ve never done before you need advise from someone who has and you need to be very careful…

Oh man that sucks, I'm just glad you didn't get paralyzed. Happened to a friend of a friend, there can easily be some real risk to even seemingly simple repair jobs.
