Today, I got a call from my mom's new husband. It lasted 3 minutes and those 3 minutes were of him telling me how sad I make my mom for just existing, how jealous I make her because I'm living a life she wished she was. Turns out, she told him to call me and say that because I have her blocked. FML

Today, I called my mom to see how she was doing. She quickly hijacked the conversation and said that she's signed me up for a dating site, because she feels bad that I can't find a decent man. I've been dating my boyfriend for seven months, and she's seen me with him multiple times. FML

Today, my dad and I got into an argument, and he ended up calling me a son of a bitch. My mom heard and started arguing with him over him calling her a bitch. Three hours later, I'm now staying at my gran's house with my mom and hoping her threats of a divorce weren't for real. FML

Today, my mom admitted that her story about my dad leaving us for his current wife was a lie. He left when he caught her with a coworker. She blocked his number and got a restraining order to keep him from telling his side of the story. I haven't talked to my dad for six years because of this. FML

Today, I was talking to my mom about how my fiancé has been ignoring me and that I didn't know why. Turns out, my mother told him that I was too much of a handful, was mentally disturbed and also cheating on him. Just so I wouldn't move out and would keep cleaning her house for free. FML

I hope you now have him blocked. Get a book called Toxic Parents. My wife her mom doesn't speak to her, for me its cousins. We have friends who have become found family. I tease my daughter who moved but good grief

My old psychologist (was seeking help dealing with grief due to losing a child) also recommended Toxic Parents and it made a huge difference when it came to my own parents! So I second the above comment. There is no excuse for that kind of abhorrent behaviour and shame on them (husband and mom) for acting so.

It was a life saver. I donated five copies to our local LGBTI center. Thank you for agreeing with me. As an adult I found new supportive parents. My parents are dead now, I pretty much raised them. They are the reason I say you need a license to drive a car but anyone can have a kid.

There's something seriously wrong with a woman who is jealous of her child instead of happy for them. She's not worth even a moment of your time. The fact that this grown man didn't see a problem in relaying that message just goes to show he isn't either.
