Today, I thought I would take my family to the beach for the day. My wife is sitting on the front porch, not talking to me, because after working a 60-hour week, I would rather enjoy my family and the fruits of my labor, rather than help her clean the house that she has spent all week at, doing nothing. FML

Today, after weeks of my girlfriend complaining that I don't help with the chores, I secretly took a day off work to deal with some that were piling up. When she got home, all she could do was complain about how I hadn't done more. FML

Today, after a long talk with the kids, I finally got all the chores around the house done early so we could have a fun family weekend. My wife decided to be a wet blanket and insisted we needed to deep clean the already clean kitchen. Three arguments later, everyone is sulking, and I'm working in the kitchen alone. FML

Today, I spent all day doing chores around the house, including mowing and raking the lawn, paying bills, going to the store, meal prepping, and cleaning the fridge. When I sat down to enjoy some well-earned games, my girlfriend sighed and asked if I ever planned to contribute anything to our relationship. FML

Today, I had the day off from work. I did all the chores hoping to free up time to spend with my husband tonight. When he came home, he looked around and decided that since there was no need for him to stick around and help clean, he'd head to the bar to watch the game with the guys. FML

Today, I came home after ten hours at work to find my unemployed wife and 4 kids sprawled out watching TV waiting for me to get home and cook for them. I had to wash all the dishes first because they didn't feel like getting up or helping. FML

Today, I got home and my wife asked me why I hadn’t taken the bin out or cleaned the living room. I asked her why she hadn’t done it since she got fired 6 months ago for laziness and since then has sat on her ass watching daytime TV instead of job searching. She threw a mug at my face. FML

Today, I spent my day alone while my parents and siblings were at school and work. Trying to be helpful, I cleaned out the fridge, did 5 loads of laundry, worked outside, fed the pets and made dinner for the entire family. The evening was spent hearing complaints of how wrong I did everything. FML

if you have multiple children that she's kept alive, your house is dirty but livable and she's kept the place running, chances are she's worked more than your 60 hours and you probably said something stupid like you did here and THAT'S why she's not speaking to you. stay at home mom is a full time job that she never ever gets a break from, including at the beach. she doesn't get to clock out and go home.

Yeah, but there are a lot of narcissists who consider the full time job of child raising as "nothing". If he worked a 60 hour week and she did "nothing" at home, the children would be dead from starvation by now.... so let's assume that "nothing" is inaccurate and accept we don't know the whole story.

He said so but it does not mean it is true. If he has little kids (he does say he would like to enjoy his family) she has been taking care of, then YDI. If she really did nothing, then yes, FYL.

I have three kids and I c Spend two hours + doing house work and my house looks like someone had a house party in it. If I want it to look spotless my wife or I have to take the kids out while the other hits the house work hard. Leave the house work and take your wife to the beach, she needs it
