Today, my neighbor came over and yelled at me for traumatizing her kids. What did I do? Nothing. Her kids entered my backyard, dug up my one month-dead hamster and freaked out. FML

A parent's children can do no wrong these days. You know that. Their bad grades are their teachers' fault, too.

Unfortunately OP's neighbor will try to have them charged with attempted murder if they put one up. I just wish people nowadays will just let Darwinism and natural selection happen.

As long as it's legal where op lives and they don't mind the electric bill to go with it there is no case against them. That is as long as it is properly labeled.

Waste all that money for that...?

Oh the lack of intelligence today is nauseating.

I sure hope they don't find the local cemetery

How dare you bury YOUR hamster in YOUR own backyard. I can only imagine how that conversation went.

Exactly. Those parents that think there kids don't do no wrong are so annoying and they get violent sometimes if you say something negative towards their children.

Yell at them for traumatizing you with their ridiculous amount of stupidity. It's your property their kids trespassed on.

It annoys me how some parents think their kids can do no wrong and don't discipline them.

I think you should tell her that her "angels" dug up your dead hamster and freaked out! It's not your fault they're little ***** with a mother looking to blame everyone else.

Well, now you know where the kid gets it from. Go to the store, buy a box of food coloring tubes. Make sure they are really easy to open. Bury THOSE in your yard (heck, just sit them out there on your porch/card table/patio/whatever with a half-dozen boiled eggs and claim you were going to do Easter Eggs....). Her kid won't be traumatized, just technicolor, and with luck it'll be all over her house too. THAT might teach her a lesson about responsible parenting, because unless she's exhausted, hormonal from a pregnancy, extremely stressed, or otherwise has some sort of vague excuse to act that way, she really really needs one. Sorry to hear about your hamster. :(

I wouldnt blame the kids, they dont know what they are doing. Blame the mother, she's overbearing and trying to play the blame game on you

because clearly no one under the age of 18 is responsible for their actions, right? I knew right from wrong when I was a child as long as my parents taught me so. It's a matter of proper parenting and discipline. Ignoring bad behavior because "they don't know any better" is a one way ticket to spoiled little shit syndrome.
