Today, I gave my boss the paperwork to approve my commissions for the month. She wouldn't sign it, saying, "Maybe I'm crazy, but I feel that I've signed this before." She hasn't. I have no commission, and my boss is crazy. FML

Today, my boss said he was giving me a significant raise. After he requested the payroll department to raise my salary they informed him he needed to fill out a one-sheet form. He took my raise away because he didn't want to fill the sheet out. FML

Today, I shouldn't have told my boss that I was interested in management. She now throws any problem she doesn't want to solve at me and either gets mad when I can't work it out or takes credit when I do. FML

Today, my boss dropped a highly important and dense report on my desk that had to be finished by the end of the day. After the initial panic attack and hours of scrupulous work, I finished. She then asked me to pick up the revised copy, where my name was replaced with hers. FML

Today, during a meeting with my boss, she explained she's giving me one more chance before she has to fire me. Her reason? I accidentally ordered chicken on a salad last week for a meeting and she feels my performance has gone down the tubes. FML

why not go for some classic one-upmanship? boss: "maybe i'm crazy, but i feel that i've signed this before." op: "maybe i'm crazy, but i'm sure you didn't." boss: "maybe i'm crazy, but you shouldn't talk to me like that. you're fired." op: "****, it wasn't supposed to happen this way..." but really, if your boss can throw down an excuse like that this time, what's to say she won't do it next time? and the next time? then you're out of a job...without being out of a job! |the kid|
