Today, I discovered that the ancient looking coin I dug up in my front yard is worth hundreds of dollars. Too bad I found that coin when I was eight years-old, and have since misplaced it. FML

Today, I came home to find that my mother had sold all my valuable collector coins for cheap at a local shady pawn shop to buy herself a TV. The coins in question were worth enough to start a business. FML

Today, after I found gold coins a few years ago, nothing newsworthy but enough to pay off my parents' mortgage, some landowning douche, who is already a millionaire, is now claiming the lake where I found the coins is his, and is suing me for the coins' full value. If I lose in court, my parents may have to sell their house. FML

Today, I found out that my mom found a paper with my long lost username and password to an old crypto wallet with 17 bitcoins. She'd thrown it in the garbage bin before realising what it was. The bin was empty when I went running to check it. FML

Today, I’m so broke I actually got excited at finding a 5p coin as it meant I actually had a coin to put in my musical change jar. The kicker, it’s been so long since I last put change in there, the battery had gone flat so it didn’t play its little jingle noise. FML

I am pretty sure OP said it was worth hundreds of dollars. Which is a good chunk of money. You are most likely looking at the wrong coin anyway, considering OP didn't describe a certain coin.
