Today, I bit into a burrito and felt something hard crunch. I spit it out and found a small tooth. It was mine. I'd managed to break my tooth on a burrito. I had to go to the dentist, and the hygienist giggled a bit too much about the reason why it was getting fixed. I now have a strong suspicion of burritos which will probably never go away. FML

Today, I got a meat pie for lunch. I bit into it and felt something hard. I spat it out. It was a tooth. I checked my mouth in a panic and discovered, with mixed feelings of relief and horror, that the tooth wasn’t mine. FML
Today, I accidentally bit so hard on my fork that I cracked my tooth. FML
Today, I was eating an onion bagel and bit down on something hard. At first I thought was a really hard piece of onion. The "onion" turned out to be a tooth, and it wasn't one of mine. FML
Today, I bit into a barbecue-ed corn cob, forgetting I had a filling on my chipped front tooth. I re-chipped it. FML
Today, I was chewing my pen while I was paying attention to my teacher. I chewed a bit too hard, and something broke off, so I casually looked at my pen. It was unharmed. One of my front teeth had broken off. Everyone in class, including the teacher, had to see it before I could call my dentist. FML
Today, I cracked my tooth. I was so tired I put my pretzel stick in my tea and took a bite out of my spoon. FML
Today, I went to a new dentist because I've been experiencing occasional toothache. Upon seeing my x-rays, he noticed something odd. Apparently, during a root canal a while ago, a piece of an instrument broke off, and has been lodged within ever since. FML
Today, I was eating ice cream and struggling to chew a particularly hard chunk of chocolate. After finally breaking it into pieces, I spat it out because it tasted terrible. Then I discovered that I was missing my temporary crown. Now I have no upper molar. FML
Today, I went out to lunch on my break. When I got back to work, I noticed I had something in my teeth. After trying to get it out with my tongue, I finally went to my car for some floss. I ended up pulling a 4 inch pube out of my back teeth. It certainly wasn't mine. FML
Today, I was running late for work, so I grabbed a cheap sandwich from a gas station. As I rushed to take a bite, I bit into something unexpectedly hard. I thought it was a tough bit of bacon, or some sort of nut, but realized it was a small plastic fork that had been helpfully hidden inside my sandwich. I'd already swallowed half of it. FML

Don't blame burritos. If you manage to break your tooth on a soft burrito full of soft frijoles refritos, soft tomatoes, fragile lettuce, soft cheese, and sauce, the problem isn't the burrito.

I was eating a chocolate chip muffin one evening (one of those big costco double-chocolate ones) and I went to bite down and felt something hard. Confused, I dropped the hard thing from my mouth onto my plate and looked at it. At first, I was wondering why a (white) chocolate chip was so hard compared to the others. Then I realized, it was the crown from my molar, which had apparently popped off. Turns out that tooth was re-infected and ultimately had to be pulled after spending like, a year trying to get a root canal covered by my insurance (and failing to do so and just paying out of pocket).

Don't blame burritos. If you manage to break your tooth on a soft burrito full of soft frijoles refritos, soft tomatoes, fragile lettuce, soft cheese, and sauce, the problem isn't the burrito.

My kid has lost teeth on bred, pizza and cake. Baby teeth but it was still funny as hell to watch a room fall out on something as soft as bread.
