Today, my boyfriend invited me over to his house. I was planning on breaking up with him while at his house. Turns out, it was a proposal party. I'm now engaged because it would've been rude to say no in front of his family that had flown in. FML
Today, the guy I've been seeing for a little over a week proposed to me. FML
Today, my sister broke up with her boyfriend of 4 years because he hadn't "popped" the question. I've just spent the last 2 months helping him plan the perfect proposal. FML
Today, my boyfriend proposed to me during a funeral. FML
Today, another man proposed to my girlfriend. She said yes. FML
Today, at a restaurant, I happily watched as my boyfriend of three years got down on his knees and proposed to me. Before I could say yes and hug him, a girl flung herself at him, kissed him and shouted, "Yes!" With us still highly confused, she then ran away. FML
Today, my best friend, the man who I've been in love with for nine years, finally told me he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me. Unfortunately, it was while he was using me to practice proposing to his girlfriend. FML

It was the fact he did it at a family event, knowing OP would be there to watch and (probably) knowing OP is still in love with him. So yeah, that's pretty ******* disrespectful. I'm assuming a lot here but I would think there is a possibility that he was cheating on OP whilst they were together, because proposing to someone after a few months (assuming he got with the cousin straight after breakup with OP) seems very soon to me personally.

Even if he was cheating on op with her cousin, I still wouldn't believe that the appropriate response is to attack him. She was not being assaulted by him and he shouldn't be assaulted by her or her family members. No matter how douchey anyone thinks that he is.

That really depends. Maybe OP only dated him for a couple days, weeks, or even months and he didn't think anything of it, but OP was super attached. We don't know this whole scenario, so to say he's a horrible person is very unwarranted.
