Today, my boyfriend invited me over to his house. I was planning on breaking up with him while at his house. Turns out, it was a proposal party. I'm now engaged because it would've been rude to say no in front of his family that had flown in. FML
Today, the guy I've been seeing for a little over a week proposed to me. FML
Today, my sister broke up with her boyfriend of 4 years because he hadn't "popped" the question. I've just spent the last 2 months helping him plan the perfect proposal. FML

Today, at a restaurant, I happily watched as my boyfriend of three years got down on his knees and proposed to me. Before I could say yes and hug him, a girl flung herself at him, kissed him and shouted, "Yes!" With us still highly confused, she then ran away. FML
Today, my best friend, the man who I've been in love with for nine years, finally told me he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me. Unfortunately, it was while he was using me to practice proposing to his girlfriend. FML

No one said that they were doing it behind her back. Everyone just jumped to that conclusion. My parents dated for 4 months before getting engaged, and they're still together 30 years later, so it isn't impossible. I don't necessarily see what the ex did wrong. Perhaps with more details, but all we know is that a relationship came to an unmutual end and the hurt party is upset that he found something more meaningful. It just so happens to be a cousin. Thumbs down is that way -> Do your worst.
