Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I told my mom, "I love you". She responded with, "What? I never told you I loved you." FML
Today, I realized my mom tells our dogs she loves them more than she says it to me. FML
Today, I told my mom I loved her a lot. Her reply? "Thanks." FML
Today, my mom confessed that she has to make up compliments to give to prove me wrong when I said she can never say positive things about me. FML
Today, I told my mom I loved her and she asked if I was going to kill myself. FML
Today, my mom said that if I wasn't her daughter, she probably wouldn't even like me. FML
Today, I complained to my mom about her always acting cold towards me, and that it feels like she doesn’t love me anymore. Her response was, “You’re damn right I don’t, not since you broke my favorite glass last year.” She used to tell me she’d always love me no matter what. FML
Today, my mom texted me, “I just want you to know I love you very much.” Touched, I replied, “I love you too, Mom!” Her next message said, “Oops, wrong person.” FML
Today, like every other day, my mother, who I live with due to circumstances outside my control, harasses me every twenty minutes and generally treats me like her personal slave. When I dared complain, she had the audacity to tell me I’m lucky to “live a life of service.” Yeah, fuck you too. FML
Today, I approached my mother for comfort, because I've been feeling depressed and unloved by anyone lately. She replied, “Honestly, I stopped loving you back when you were a toddler.” FML

Why speak with her at all then? You are under no obligation to do so.

She is probably still raising OP and it is most likely necessary to still speak to each other….

In that instance, yes, a certain level of bilateral communication is required...even if OP can't stand the situation. Once on their own, it's their call.

I know this feeling as well. and it hurts. hating the woman who gave birth to you is really painful and makes you question a lot. I wish you the best dear.
