Today, I got written up because apparently leaning on the counter at work is unprofessional, even if you're about to pass out and the counter is the only thing keeping you on your feet. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, after sitting for hours at my desk, my legs fell asleep. When I got up to go to the bathroom on my break, I couldn't walk properly and leaned against things so I wouldn't fall over. My supervisor then came over and started lecturing me about being drunk at work. FML
Today, I got written up for “making a big show” of being exhausted at work. I was trying to hide it. FML
Today, I got written up because I took a dump at work that lasted longer than 5 minutes, and I didn't punch out for it as a "paid break." FML
Today, I was written up at work for "leering at my boss". I'm so sorry for having my eyes sore due to lack of sleep. FML
Today, at my new job, a coworker offered to help me mop the floors since she wasn't busy. I ended up getting written up by my boss for supposedly being too lazy and making other people finish my work. FML
Today, while at work I passed out due to my blood sugar not being normal. Despite the fact that it took 10 minutes to wake me, no one thought I was in any sort of danger. After the episode, I then got fired for "sleeping on the job." FML
Today, my coworker and I were written up after we dropped a glass table, which shattered and left us with big cuts on our hands and arms. We weren’t written up for breaking the piece, but because a nearby customer heard us both swear in pain and reported us. FML
Today, my manager said I could go on a break when he came back from his. After 7 hours with him still missing, I started to get dizzy. I ended up passing out and hitting my head on a ladder from lack of food. I woke up in the hospital to a card from my manager saying, "Get Well. Don't Sue." FML
Today, I nearly got written up for "publicly humiliating" a coworker. All because I left a note in the restroom asking whoever keeps peeing all over the floor to please be considerate of other people. FML
Today, I got written up at work over false accusations that I didn't do some safety tasks. The same tasks that were done before I had even arrived. FML

Leaning does look bad. It makes you look tired and like you don't want to be there, but I can't believe they wouldn't understand that you were about to pass out. Now that is a bit ridiculous.

I work at a store, just because i lean doesnt mean i dont want to be there. If i been working through rush hour, which is usually for bout one to two hours straight with no breaks or drink break in between, youre damn right im going to lean when im done because im tired.

I could understand why that would seem unprofessional. It's the same in Military. But when you're about to pass out, that's reasonable.

it is unprofessional. but not if you're going to pass out. why would you be about to pass out anyway? are they working you too hard? either way you should probably talk to your boss, or management.

Honesty hate supervisors/managers like that. This guy at my work got fired for "walking to slow" even though he was on his break lol
