Today, my manager said I could go on a break when he came back from his. After 7 hours with him still missing, I started to get dizzy. I ended up passing out and hitting my head on a ladder from lack of food. I woke up in the hospital to a card from my manager saying, "Get Well. Don't Sue." FML

Sue them.

I think that's cause for a formal complaint to HR at the VERY least.

Sue them.

And use the note as evidence that they know they were doing something wrong.

I think that's cause for a formal complaint to HR at the VERY least.

Complaints to HR are generally a worthless exercise. I'd keep the card and hire a lawyer.

Yeah, HR stopped giving a rats' ass about employees when they became HR instead of "Personnel". Employees became assets, like toner cartridges or staples. Screw corporate america.

You pass out after only 7 hours? Is that a blood sugar issue because if so, you should probably carry a candy bar or two. If not, you should probably go to the doctor and figure out what that's all about...

They passed out 7 hours after the manager left. Who knows how long they've been working before.

Unless it's been several days they should have been fine.

Have your lawyer send him a thank-you note.

butthole not you op him. sue

You better sue.

Sue. Take that card to your lawyer as well.
