Today, I got a message from my ex saying how sorry he was for everything he did. He also said that if he wasn't getting married and having a kid we could still be together. We broke up a year ago. FML

Today, I got a message from a woman. It was my boyfriend of five years' ex-girlfriend, telling me that she’s pregnant with his baby and that they’ve been together for a year. FML
Today, my ex-boyfriend announced he was engaged. We broke up last night. FML
Today, I ran into my ex at the mall. He’s married, with a 2 year-old. Three years ago he ended our 6-year relationship because he said he didn’t believe in marriage and kids. Sorry for not being good enough to achieve those things with. FML
Today, my ex messaged me, saying he got his new girlfriend pregnant and that he thinks I have something to do with it. He thinks I put it in her head that they should have a kid together, when he says he didn't want any in the first place. FML
Today, my ex started to talk to me again after 3 years. I've been in an amazing relationship for the last 2 years. She let me know she is taking me to court for child support. I didn't even know I had a kid. FML
Today, I logged onto Facebook and saw that I had a message from my ex boyfriend. It's only been two weeks since we broke up and I assumed he sent me a message begging for me to take him back. He wanted to apologize for sleeping with my sister last night. FML
Today, I received an email saying, "Thinking of you and hoping you are taking care." It was from the love of my life. We broke up 20 years ago. Previously, we had contact every 5+ years. It's just too late. FML
Today, my ex asked me if I would reconsider a future with him. I said, “Only if we can learn to communicate effectively." He said, “Good talk, this time you actually got through to me.” Then he ceased all communication. FML
Today, I received an invitation to my ex’s wedding. We were dating for three years and just broke up four months ago. FML
Today, I ran into my ex-boyfriend in town. We broke up a year ago because he "moved" to Florida. FML

So..? Probably hooked up with the girl, got her pregnant, and thinks he's doing the responsible thing. Get away from him. His marriage will probably fail and he'll try to get with you

This isn't a FML. Feel bad for the soon to be wife. How great is their marriage going to be if he's acting like the arse that he is? it seems doomed to fail from the beginning if he's talking to other women like that. Be happy you got away while you could!

Classic freakout before the wedding stuff. My ex pulled one of these where he apologized and whatnot. Totally sought me out. I found out later that he had just gotten engaged. It was like he needed to apologize and check to see if I was still available. (I wasn't) Eh, it's not that uncommon for guys to semi-freak before or right after such an important decision in their life.

@38, What makes you think she should move on fast? Getting over a relationship takes time, and besides, this post isn't about that, it's about the fact that her ex completely ruined his apology by saying he was getting married.

Wow. So sweet. He is totally like the one for you. Nope this isn't shallow and stupid at all. Op, babe, its only been a year and marriage is not like a diamond, it does not last forever. So I think you should get rid of his wife and steal your man back. I am so serious. This is like the most serious thing since I broke a nail last year. (DON'T KILL ANYONE. DON'T DO IT. IT IS ILLEGAL. NO WIVES WERE KILLED IN THE MAKING OF THIS FML.) Op, get OVER yourself. He obviously thinks too highly of himself and you are now free of that. If anything this is proof that he wasn't the one for you. He is trying to use you and make you feel bad. Love is an amazing thing, but shallow, fake love like what his wife is getting is not. You think this is an FML? This is stupid. He broke up with you, he has a (future) wife and a kid. Don't focus on this, don't get involved, don't even talk to him. He just wants to use you, even if emotionally. Or maybe you are just taking this the wrong way. He is telling you that you mean something to him, he apologized, take it as a compliment that you might have been amazing and he is not yet over you. But he isn't coming back and if he does don't take him back. Get on with you life.

A year should be long enough to get over a guy. Besides that, where's the appeal in a guy who thinks of his wife and child as bad things? This is simply something to laugh at.. Unless you really still want him. Then FYL for still caring about an a-hole after a year.
