Same thing different taste
Today, I found out my ex-boyfriend is getting engaged. He broke up with me five months ago because our relationship was too serious for him. FML
Not the one
Today, my ex, who I'm still love with, told me he's engaged. We weren't together for long because he didn't want a committed relationship. Guess it was just me. FML
For better, for worse

Wrong place, right time
Today, a co-worker came back from his honeymoon. He passed by my office to say hi, and mentioned, "I heard you're getting married next year?" I broke up with my boyfriend yesterday. He's taking his things out of the house as I write this. FML
Surprise!
Today, I'd been getting ready to hear my boyfriend's proposal, as his friends had told me he'd talked to them about planning it. He showed up at my house out of the blue… to tell me he's breaking up with me, only to find out he proposed to his ex hours later. FML

Apparently he moved on before they even broke up.

Well that escalated quickly

well that shows how much he didn't deserve you if you just broke up last night and he found a fiance.

He didn't just find the fiance, the fact that he just got engaged right after breaking up forces one to assume he was cheating on OP

Did he go to a bar yesterday? Or watch frozen?

I don't think you should be anywhere near him now, concentrate on yourself Op. You're important. But I would like to know how you didn't find out that he was interested with someone else. If you did know, you shouldn't be surprised, sure it hurts, but you would've seen it coming. Question is, did you?

I'm sorry, OP... Things always happen for a reason. I'm sure the right person will come along your way in due time. I'm sorry you have to go through whatever feelings you're going through. Chin up, Sugar! It'll be okay. :)

I appreciate what you're trying to say but things don't "always happen for a reason". That's the invalidating crap people say to make themselves feel better when someone else's life's a heaping pile of wreckage. Sometimes awful shit just happens unfairly without any rhyme or reason to it.

That's messed up, but you do have to ask your self, were you his girlfriend or his side piece?

Stay away from him, but warn his 'Fiancee'. If she's mad, she probably knew or doesn't care. If she's upset, then she may have been in the same boast as you (cheated on wise). He's most definitely not worth it; save her too if you can!

While I agree that the new fiancée is in a bad situation, I would say that it isn't OPs job to tell her, as it wouldn't be good for her emotional situation to stay involved in it.

No she doesn't have to, but she should! I'd love for the other person to tell me my 'fiance' is cheating on me! Don't even have to meet, send a message! But you are right, she does have a choice. She never has to speak to him again, but helping someone else out is pretty cool!
