Today, while I was mowing the lawn in my backyard, I ran over a glass bottle. My legs looked like a disco ball. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, at a house party someone smashed and spilled their drink. In my own drunken state, I decided to get the mop as someone might fall. I then fell over it and ended up with glass in my side. FML
Smashing awakening
Today, I woke myself up by slamming my ankle into a glass bottle. FML
Elaine?
Today, I tried to show off my dance moves at a party and ended up falling through a glass table. FML
Thanks, Mom
Today, I was wearing flip flops whilst putting out the trash, and was careful not to step near the broken glass surrounding the trash cans. My mother ran up to me hysterically warning me about the glass, which startled me and caused me to step on a shard, slicing my foot open. FML
Not my day, is it?
Today, I was washing the dishes when I gave myself a nasty gash on my leg from the open dishwasher door. After five minutes of cleaning up the blood and wrapping it up, I came back to finish the job only to drop a plate and send broken shards into my foot. FML
Today, as I was putting some dishes away, I spilled water on the floor. While walking around the dishwasher, I slipped on said water, and after going to urgent care, found out I tore my meniscus. FML
Today, I emptied out a bottle of water onto my porch as I was going into my house. Only a couple of hours later, I decided to leave and slipped on what had turned into ice, bruised my tailbone and sprained my wrist. FML
Hi there!
Today, my neighbor waved at me while he mowing his lawn. Wanting to be friendly, I waved back. In doing so I tripped on the curb, fell onto my own trash can, and rolled halfway into the street. He didn’t stop mowing. FML
Today, as I was taking the garbage out, I tripped over my own feet, causing my knee to dislocate in such a way that it shattered the back of my kneecap and fractured my femur. I guess I won't be taking the garbage out again anytime soon. FML
Today, my friend hit a glass with her arm, so I dove to try and catch it before it hit the ground and shattered. I hit my head against the table, giving me a nice gash that needed stitches. The glass was actually plastic. FML

op that's why you search the lawn for sticks and objects, including glass bottles, before you start mowing your lawn

Don't know about you, but I usually pick trash up if there's any before I mow the lawn, what's your excuse?

you're really not even supposed to mow over sticks. what make you think glass is ok?

I'm not sure how one could overlook an entire glass bottle in their backyard while mowing it. The OP obviously deserves it for not paying attention during their chore. People get killed that way.

well thank you mister obvious

My lawn mower recycles my bottles cans paper and branches. it's the actual lawn part that doesn't work so well

If the grass was tall they wouldn't have been able to see it. Where I am we've been getting a ton of rain so the grass got pretty tall in just a week. We wouldn't have been able to see a bottle.

cgchamp89 7
First off, she's like 16. Second, she looks kinda brunette but you can't tell in her picture. Third, I thought it was a good joke...
DavLynn 4
Uh I'm not even 16 and I don't say things that don't make sense.. why does that count as an excuse?
cgchamp89 7
77, you have no business being on the Internet... you most likely can't even drive a vehicle legally. I listed 3 incase you didn't like one or two of the reasons.
anakaren_831 1
why do people assume I'm blonde? I'm Mexican pendejos!

.... why was the bottle in your garden anyway? I would say ydi but I've had multiple shards of glass attached to my back a month ago so I kind of know how you feel, fyl

That's why you should wear long pants when mowing the lawn!.....
sourgirl101 29
I agree. Also wear protective glasses and good shoes too. I know someone that's missing three toes because they mowed the grass wearing flip flops. 0:
hammerfall26 6
I get what your saying but I doubt a thin layer of fabric or a pair of tennis shoes would stop sharp shards of glass being hurled at your legs or a sharp mower blade from lopping off or severely damaging your shoe covered foot. just sayin

A "thin" layer of denim is actually very protective against flying debris. When mowing or using a weed whacker, I always wear long pants, long sleeves, safety goggles, and boots. Moreso when I'm using the weed whacker. That thing picks up pebbles and sends them flying. A particle mask is good too, since the pollen and dust irritant my respiratory system.
