Today, the mailman delivered my new phone to my neighbour's house. This was okay, because he left a note in my mailbox informing me so. Now my crazy neighbour won't give me the package because, "*I* signed for it!" FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, a phone I bought online turned up while I was at work. The delivery guy left a note saying he'd left the package with my neighbor at #10. When I went and knocked on the door and asked for the package, my neighbor said "Nope, nothing delivered here." and quickly shut the door in my face. FML
What was in the box?
Today, I got a notification that a package had been delivered. I opened my door and saw it on at doorstep. I was expecting one, so I grabbed and opened it, then realized it wasn’t mine, but my neighbor’s. I had to awkwardly re-tape it, then sneak over and leave the disturbing contents of the box on their porch before they noticed. FML
Today, my new mailbox key finally arrived. Not at the front door as I requested, but in the mailbox. FML
Gimme my stuff
Today, I learned that last week, the UPS man gave my package to my neighbor for safekeeping. It was over five-hundred dollars' worth of merchandise. My neighbor left for Canada on Saturday. FML
Today, I got a notice on my apartment door that I'd received a package when no one was home, and it was left at the backdoor. I don't have a backdoor. FML
Foiled
Today, in an elaborate plan to finally meet my cute neighbor, I convinced my friendly mailman to switch up our mail so I'd have an excuse to meet her. After I delivered her mail, I waited for her to mention that she had my mail, but she never did. I even saw her take it out of her mail box. FML
Christmas gifts
Today, while I was home sick from work, my neighbor got packages delivered. Our apartments have had a lot of thefts lately so, being neighborly, I brought her stuff inside to wait. When she came home, I gave them right to her. Instead of thanking me, she told the office that I was the thief all along. FML
What is happening right now?
Today, I got a notification from a delivery carrier that my package had been delivered. I opened the door to find a perfectly wrapped box with no address, no label, and a note inside saying, "You’ll know when it’s time." I still don’t know what it means. FML
Porch piracy
Today, I received a text saying that a package had just been delivered to the house. By the time I reached the front door, it had been stolen. FML
Leave me alone
Today, I awoke to banging at my door. It was my neighbor, accusing me of stealing her mail to spy on her, because apparently she thinks I must be some sort of secret agent. The cops don't believe me when I call, and she won't go away. FML

First, call the police because the package has your name not your neighbor's. Second, call the mail company to complain about the mailman and follow up on the complaint.

Honestly, how old is your neighbor? Because he's acting like he's ten. 'Finders keepers' doesn't apply in thr real world. You should give him a high five. In the face. With your mailbox.

If I you deliver my pizza 30 seconds late If I hurt my knuckles when I punch you in the face I'm gonna SUE YA!

Weird Al Yankovic- Proving the power of suing.

You can message on here? I need to go get my damned computer.

I'd tell you to take it to court, but seriously people, you can't just sue everyone all the damn time. I swear, every time I see an FML like this one, the top answer is always 'Sue him!" If we all went around suing everyone that did something wrong, this world would be pretty.. Messed up. Just sayin'.

However, most of the world does going around suing for ridiculous reasons so the world is already a messed up place

I lost all faith in the world, particularly America, when my friend from Chicago told me about a case she saw whilst working in a legal office. A woman was suing a hospital because she fell out of a chair. Stupid enough in the first place. But she was due to be discharged in perfect health, she fell out of the chair because instead of getting up to get something off the table she over reached from sitting. This was entirely of her own volition, yet she was suing the hospital - for what? having chairs!?

I know 88, it's absolutely crazy. I tripped outside a McDonalds (because I'm a klutz lol) & everyone told me I should sue. I couldn't possibly see suing a company because of my own stupidity

That's true. We've already screwed up this world beyond repair. I'm just trying to slap some sense into people. Most of these FMLs that have comments that say "Sue him!" are usually FMLs that could simply be reported to the police, who would take care of it from there. No need for suing every time you get the opportunity.

I actually have a legit lawsuit going right now, and still don't feel quite right about it. I don't know how some people do it. Especially when it's their own doing...

Oh damn. It's ridiculous that you're in this situation, but think about maybe doing some favours.

"Oh, yeah? *I* paid for it!" No really OP that's a pretty shitty neighbor you have there. I'm sure you'll end up with the phone on the end though.

Keep harassing him. If he doesn't give it back, dye his grass pink.

If he signed for it, it means that he's obligated to give it to you, since the package has your name on it. That's an easy court case.

Pee on his wife. Too far?
