Today, the guy that I'm in love with and plan to marry some day told me he would choose a million dollars over me. I got upset and told him I no longer want to be with him. In an excited voice he said, "Really? So are you serious I don't have to worry about this love stuff anymore?" FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Buffering
Today, I was in the car with my boyfriend. After telling him how much I loved him, he asked me to marry him. When I said yes and started crying, he said he wasn't sure if he really wants to get married. FML
Money first
Today, my "boyfriend" told me that he loves money more than me and would date it if he could. FML
Valid concerns
Today, my boyfriend admitted he didn't want to marry me, not because he doesn't want to spend his life with me, but because he'd seen two friends get ruined by divorce settlements, and he "doesn't want my hooks in him." I love him with all my heart and would never dream of pulling a marriage con. FML
Too much pressure
Today, I told my boyfriend of two years that I wanted to get married eventually, and there's no way to talk me out of it. He broke up with me immediately. FML
Reasonable
Today, my boyfriend said, "I won't marry you, but I want to spend my life with you." When I told him that upset me, he said, "My ex completely changed once we got married, and I like you as you are now." FML
Is this Brexit?
Today, in the same sentence, my boyfriend told me that he wanted to "spend the rest of his life with me," and "I want to break up with you because I can't face your family." FML
Celebrate!
Today, my fiancé told me that after 7 years together, he is no longer in love with me. Shocked and appalled, I asked him if he had anything else to add. "Happy Birthday." FML
Dependa
Today, my boyfriend called me explaining that he is getting married this weekend to a woman he met on Craigslist. Why? Because I won't marry him, and he'll make an extra thousand dollars per month having a wife since he is in the army. FML
Crossed wires
Today, I got into a minor argument with my fiancé. Deciding it wasn't worth fighting over, I shrugged and said, "Really, what are we even doing this for?" To which he replied, "Honestly, I don't know. I haven't loved you in years… Oh, you meant about the fight." And just like that, I'm now single. FML
Change of heart
Today, my boyfriend "proposed" to me. When we first started dating, he told me that he hated the concept of marriage and absolutely never wanted to go through with it. So I laughed and turned him down, obviously thinking it was just a joke. He was serious. FML

1. Well how did the million-dollar subject come up? Are you the kind of girl who annoys the shit out of men by asking them stupid hypothetical questions? 2. You dumped the guy you 'planned to marry' over THAT?!!! Jesus. He just got saved from a lifetime of having to humour you.

I find your choice of verb tenses odd. Specifically "I'm in love with and plan to marry some day" instead of "I was in love with and planned to marry some day".

You're with the wrong guy, and I think you need to be a lot more cautious before you commit your loyalty to someone to the extent that you have.

YDI for overestimating your worth in that relationship, you can't "plan to marry" someone that doesn't do the same for you.

Look on the upside: 1. At least the price was a million dollars. The implication is that if someone had offered him only $100,000 to dump you, he still would have chosen you. 2. It's a good thing you're having this conversation about "this love stuff" now instead of after you get married, like most clueless couples. And I have to agree with #25... it's not like it's news to you that this guy is an asshole. He's always been this way, and you love him for it. Gives you something to complain about.

Uhh... YDI for asking such an idiotic question; I've never understood why women insist on qualifying relationships based upon extreme-hypothetical situations. Life isn't like the movies, when a girl asks her significant other, "If you had a choice between a lifetime supply of pudding or me, which would you choose?," whichever one he tells you, he wants the pudding. This guy should be lauded for being honest, rather than lying and telling you what you want to hear.

Today, I found out that the person that I'm infatuated with doesn't appreciate me as much as I want him to - whether or not he may just be joking - despite the fact that I don't really love nor care to understand him since the real him doesn't fit with my personal vision of who he's supposed to be. Today, I broke up with the man I was in love with because he was an honest person. He said he would choose $1,000,000 over my constant whining and annoying personality. FML.

I hate when girls ask stupid shit like this, or something like "why do you love me". Shit is irritating.

At least be happy that you didn't marry him.
