Today, I woke up and I'm still in the Marine Corps. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I couldn't sleep and in the process of tossing and turning I did something very painful to my back. I spent 4 years in the marine corps infantry, but laying in a bed kicks my ass. FML
Today, I woke up and it was Monday. FML
I hate my life
Today, I woke up and remembered that I'm in law school. Now, I'm about to go to sleep, and I'm still in law school. FML
Alexa, play "Repetition" by The Fall
Today, I woke up and realized it's still 2020. It's like Groundhog Day. FML
Today, I realized that I will be leaving for the US Marine Corps in June, and the presidential election is in November. I could potentially be serving with Trump as my Commander-in-Chief. FML
Reliable
Today, aside from clearing out my bank accounts and having an affair, the kicker was finding out my fiancé planned on taking himself and his mistress to Cancun for his birthday, while I would be attending the Marine Corps boot camp. FML
Today, my Marine friend got back from his tour of duty overseas. We went out for drinks to celebrate his return. His own form of celebration was to pick a fight with a returning Navy SEAL and his friends. We lost. Badly. FML
Benefits
Today, I overheard my mother and sister talking so I stopped to eavesdrop. I recently enlisted in the Marines, and they were talking about what they would do with the money if I died. FML
Today, while all the other marines got to fly around the island on a helicopter, I got stuck on gear guard. What was I guarding? The staff sergeant's parking spot. FML
Today, I woke up super glued to the toilet. FML

"We fight for the right for all of us to complain about our lives." Are you serious? Sweet Jeebus, some idiot out there believes they're out fighting for "freedom." Did they hit you on the head really hard in basic or what?

Oh geez, a bunch of civvies who have never entertained the thought of joining the military is trashing someone who had the stones to join up- and join the Corps, no less? Marines earn the title, therefore it's up to them how they feel about it; it's a title they will have their entire lives. I have to tell you, after having served in the Army 8 years myself and my husband currently serving in the Marines the last 15 years, I have so say I like the lifestyle, but I also don't have to deal with the BS my husband has to: He goes into work before most of you wusses even get home from the bars and has to unf*ck a mess of garbage that his bosses (officers, mostly captains and majors) create. If the guy who posted the comment deals with as much BS as I think he does, he has every right to say how he feels without having a bunch of non-rate mofo's trash talk him and tell him he "should be proud". Even if the poster is lower-eschelon, he still risks having to deal with some jackass-boss on a power trip. Civvies have no comprehension about the insane bureaucratic hoops military personnel have to jump through. If anyone should be ashamed, it should be idiots like Amanda and that cum-recepticle named Drake. Gee, you two asshats, how about you spend 6 months to a year in the desert with full battle gear on for 18 hours at a time WHILE getting shot at by a bunch of ragheads who, after 5 years, finally learned how to zero their weapons? As for the little pissant comment about Volunteer service: I'd hate to see some of the trash that would wash up if a draft was enforced. I can't wait to see the literary fallout from my post...Bring it.

What time is he going into work? When I was in the Army we had to show up at 530 to stand around for an hour before put but if you're husband is going in while most people are still at the bar he must be going in before 2 am and that's just nuts. Still I feel bad for you husband cause you seem like a bitch.

blueangels7901: I was in the military too, although not in the US, and I still think you're an arrogant whiner.

Hub, the truth hurts, doesn't it? And I wasn't being racist, I was being ethnocentric. I'm entitled to have a preference, which I've demonstrated since I'm married to a U.S. Marine, thank you very much. I don't blame you for being cranky- I suppose being chronically single would do that to a guy. Don't they have singles support groups in your country? You know what they say: "it pays to be a winner". ((HUGE hugs))

Hmmm, we gotta love an idiot who who attempts to make a snappy comeback, but can't spell for crap. No, wait, it's God's job to love the idiots; idiots are merely here for our entertainment. *sigh* But I do believe his life is pretty much well f*cked- sucks to be him.
