Today, on Judge Judy…

Today, my grandpa died suddenly. About a month ago, he gifted me a few thousand dollars to buy a used car. My uncle is now demanding I return it, saying I can't prove that my grandfather agreed to it, and that he wants his rightful share of the inheritance. FML

I’d say “Nope. See you in court. “

Your uncle can't prove he didn't agree to it either.

Get a restraining order against your uncle.

If he had an issue with it, he should have said something when your grandfather was alive. So sorry for your loss.

Yeah because your grandpa just left THOUSANDS of dollars laying around for you to steal without his knowledge 🙄 Don't give your uncle a cent! What a disgusting man he is for wanting to harass money out of his own niece. Please don't let him continue harassing you. Maybe there's grounds for a cease and desist? Though I doubt he'd even get anywhere if he took it to court because he can't prove jack shit other than that he's a self-entitled bully.

You don't have to give him anything. You have the money, buy your car. He can get his inheritance when the will is read. Until then, he can piss off.

Your uncle has no claims to anything your grandpa didn't have before his death tell him to get bent and write him off as not being family anymore

money grubbing asshole... toxic families... aren't they the greatest?
