Today, my workplace was issued aprons. I then became the first and only employee in the history of the business to set an apron on fire while using the grill. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Fried
Today, I was fired from my job because I would "scare" the customers. Two days ago, a coworker spilled fry oil onto the grill, causing flames to singe my eyebrows and the front of my hair off. FML
Today, after months of unemployment, I finally started at a new job. The building burnt down on my very first shift. FML
The Crazy World of Arthur Brown
Today, at work, our new chef managed to start a grease fire. We couldn’t put it out because he managed to splash the flaming grease onto the fire extinguisher. Yes, we couldn’t put out a fire because our fire extinguisher was on fire. The fire department guys just laughed and laughed. FML
Safety test
Today, I learned how to use a fire extinguisher. Too bad it was on my brand new oven. FML
Technically…
Today, my boss told me to not burn the place down while she was outside. When she came back inside, I accidentally started a fire. FML
MOVE!
Today, I had to take out the grease traps from our fryers. A very rude co-worker cut me off, so I had to abruptly stop and try to prevent as much spilling as possible. Luckily, it only spilled on me. I'm here for six more hours with burned, smelly, greasy spots all over my skin and clothes. FML
Incinerate
Today, while cooking dinner, I managed to set my oven mitt on fire. In my panic, I tried to throw it in the sink, but it landed on a stack of t-shirts, which were lying on the counter. Both the mitt and my favorite Sonic Youth t-shirt now have matching burn holes. FML
Today, I asked a waiter at a restaurant if I could go in the kitchen to compliment the chef. She turned out to be really pretty, so trying to be cool, I leaned back onto what I thought was a table. It turned out to be a stove, and my shirt caught fire. FML
Today, I work at a pizza place and one of my jobs is to spoon crushed red pepper into bags. After I finished this, without thinking to wash my hands first, I used the bathroom. It still burns. FML
That shirt is FIRE!
Today, my shirt caught on fire when I was burning paper for my ancestors at the cemetery. FML

Only? They immediately prohibited the aprons again?

That's unfortunate, at least you're not hurt enough to not be able to do anything. In a while though, you and your coworkers will look back at this and laugh.

You are assuming they were not laughing already. That would happen where I work.

The only explanation is that you were using a flame grill... if not then you must have had a frilly maid apron with tassels at the bottom.

That sounds scary! But on the bright side, it sounds as if you are okay and you didn't have to burn through your sick time. Always a good thing when you can keep your cool, especially in situations that can heat up quickly!!

That wasn't punny at all.
