Today, my second roommate in less then a week got a DUI. Both roommates are demanding that I drive them around for free until they get their licenses back, or else they won't have the funds to pay their rent. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my roommate wants to kick me out because I can't afford to pay my share of the rent this month. I couldn't afford to, because I had to pay for repairs to my car after my roommate got drunk, stole my keys, and crashed it into a street light. FML
No way
Today, my roommate expected me to help them buy them car, or loan them some money. FML
Today, I let my dad borrow my car. I found out a few hours later that he has had a suspended license for three years. How did I find out? He got pulled over and arrested. My car was also impounded. I'm a college student barely making it as it is. Guess who can't afford the impound fees? FML
One-wat street
Today, after my at-the-time partner got in a car wreck with minimal injuries, I drove two hours and got a week off classes to take care of them on hand and foot, they are currently my platonic roommate and I nearly broke my foot… and they keep acting annoyed when I ask for something because I can't walk. FML
Today, I told my roommates they have to go get jobs, because I can't afford to support them or their bad habits any more. They responded by pawning all my DVDs for cash to buy cigarettes. FML
Today, all of my roommates handed in their vacating notice unexpectedly. They are all moving to a new house together in two weeks, leaving me to be either homeless or forced to pay 4 times what I was paying in rent. FML
Today, my roommates gathered together to tell me that they all took turns spitting in my drinks in the fridge, all because I told on them for smoking pot in the apartment. FML
Gratitude
Today, I decided to be the sober housemate for the first time in a while. I drove my drunk friends to the bar and back, even buying them pizza before they passed out in the living room. I got repaid by catching my wasted housemate in my room, peeing all over my floor, bed, and nightstand. FML
Today, my roommate called me, but she's a cunt so I ignored her. A few hours later, I found out her mom and dad were in a serious car accident and she needed a ride to go see them at the hospital. FML
Today, my boyfriend went to jail for a DUI. In a panic, I rushed to go bail him out. On the way to the jail I was stopped for running a red light. I soon joined my boyfriend in jail with my very own DUI charge. FML

Apparently they've never heard of this wonderful invention called the bus.

IF it's possible, charge them for the gas and take them nowhere but to their jobs. If they ask for a ride anywhere else, tell 'em to piss off.

You'd probably save enough money in not paying for their gas to make up for the difference in rent. And if that doesn't work, find new roomates, this is ridiculous.

What does being rich have to do with anything? I come from a fairly affluent family and I wouldn't let these people bum off of me. I would probably kick them out or find a new place to live. From the way OP wrote this it sounds like demands/ultimatums. I'm not sure how rooming works, but I will never be roommates with people I don't really know. Or I would hold interviews, check references, backgrounds, etc. =|

just talk to your landlord bout it, most won't put up with a DUI on someone's record

where the he'll do you live? most of the Time you can't terminate a rental agreement simply because of a misdemeanor ( though in some states DUI is a felony)

No but if they refuse to pay rent the landlord can do something about it.
