Today, my period was officially 2 weeks late. I have a phobia about giving birth, so I had a panic attack, went to Walmart, spend $15 on four pregnancy tests and a drink, came home, and took the tests. All four came back negative. As I went to clean up and throw everything away, I got my period. FML

Today, I decided I was gonna take a pregnancy test after being two months late. I bought two because I was sure it would give me a positive. That same night I got my period. FML
Today, I went to the store to go buy a pregnancy test because my period was 7 days late. I get home, go into the bathroom, pull down my underwear, pee and come to find out I'd started my period when I looked at it after peeing on it. FML
Today, my period came two days late. After fretting for two days, my body made it up to me by sticking three days of symptoms in one day. I needed Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Scotch, and cuddles before I got any relief. FML
Today, I had to go through the embarrassment and pain of telling my parents I was pregnant. I took the test and it came out positive and I was freaking out. I got grounded for the rest of the year and they're really disappointed in me. Five minutes ago, I got my period. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I've missed my period, and that I think I might be pregnant. He started panicking and ended up puking in the toilet. FML
Today, I finally found something to be thankful for in my lonely life: At least I don’t have to panic whenever my period is late. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I decided to get married after only six months because of an accidental but happy pregnancy. We’ve spent thousands on the wedding and baby stuff. Apparently it was money wasted, because I just got my period, despite not having one for three months and a positive pregnancy test. FML
Today, after spending two days spiraling out of control with my thoughts and online searches over my husband not being attracted to me, and our marriage being over, I realized it was just the week before my period insanity. I get to know I'm gonna bleed when the intrusive thoughts start to win. Being a woman is so fun. FML
Today, my girlfriend told me that she's scared because her period is late, and that they're usually on time. Five hours late apparently. FML
Today, I woke up to realize I got my period a week early. The day of the after-wedding brunch. In a sort of remote area. Without pads or tampons. I need to be at the breakfast in a half-hour. FML

See a doctor for what? Getting a period unregularly is quite normal and it doesn't change with non-hormonal birth control.

When I was on the pill, I skipped a full 2 months even on sugar pills and we spent quite a bit on pregnancy tests that kept coming back negative or appearing borderline (depending on what style used). Boyfriend at the time was NOT thrilled, we tripled up most of the time but I was regular until that point, so we thought we'd had some insane luck of hitting the .01% of people. It just turned out that I was at the beginning of my epic fight against insane ovarian cysts... Going off the pill actually made it far less common for me to skip periods and I took fewer pregnancy tests while not taking birth control than when I was on it. I always find it funny when people think BC pills solve these desperation issues and fears. BC pills ultimately screwed things up for me to the point where I can no longer have children at all. I guess in a way it worked super duper well but... More often than not, they are a cause for irregular bleeding and problems for women who had no menstrual issues prior to use.

15 dollars is nothing compared to what you'd spend on a baby. it's not even that much to put your mind at ease. I know it might seem like a waste of money. but it was probably better that you know now
