Today, my parents and I went to the movies for my mom's birthday. After the movie, my mom and dad got into a fight, and left me at the movies. My cell phone was dead, and my house was about 12 miles away. They finally came and picked me up, hours later. FML

Maybe they weren't really fighting. Maybe they wanted some special alone time 'cause it was her birthday, and could think of no other way to get it. Either way, it's an FML.

???? Like seriously? Your parents suck, dude. They suck really bad. Really.

no sympathy here dude. if he's in a hurry to get home because he's anxious to be left at the theater, honestly do you think he's going to walk the normal walking speed? hell no he's out like a light. so he would make it home a lot sooner if he walked. I know, because when I was younger, I was left at soccer practice which ended at 3:30, and waited till 8:30 pm. to be picked up. I tried calling my parents on three different peoples phones, and still no answer. my house was farther away than 12 miles, but finally I walked home and it wasn't that bad, took 2 1/2 hours. so YDI

Abandoning your child for hours - 12 miles away - is abuse and a sign of unfit parents. If a mandated reporter was there (police, teacher, pychologist) he/she would have to file with DCF or whatever it's called in your state. So I'd tell one of them, or call DCF yourself to give your parents the message that it isn't okay to abandon you for any reason.

Hahahah that sucks really bad but that is so funny

I wouldn't have walked home, but I would have borrowed the movie theaters phone. There would have been sympathetic managers around..
