Today, my only pair of shoes that I brought got stolen at the airport while I was being checked by security. I'm now stuck 1000 miles from home with no shoes. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I arrived at the airport only to find my suitcase was lost and my 3 weeks worth of clothes and supplies gone. All I had left was my wallet and carry ons. Upon leaving the airport I was mugged. FML
Today, I fell asleep with my luggage at a bus terminal. Upon waking up, I found that someone had opened my bags and stolen all my socks. FML
Today, I was going through airport security. Trying to get things over and done with quickly, I dropped my pants without a second thought. Turns out they just wanted me to remove my shoes and belt. FML
Today, my bag got stolen with all of my belongings at the beach. After being forced to ask strangers for money, I then travelled home on the train for an hour, wearing only a bikini. FML
Today, I was woken up and kicked out of my friend's party at 3:00 in the morning. This wouldn't have been so bad if someone hadn't stolen my shoes. I had to walk for an hour in the rain, in my socks. FML
Can't be late!
Today, my jeans got caught in the airport escalators. Seeing as how we couldn't get them unstuck, my mother made me take them off. FML
Stuck here
Today, my purse was stolen. Too bad it had all of my money and my passport. My flight is tomorrow, and the embassy is closed until Monday. Guess who gets to stay in a foreign country with no money and no identification for the next three days. FML
Footloose
Today, whilst on the toilet at the mall, I took my new designer sandals off as my feet were blistered. Not even a second later, a hand reached out from under the stall, grabbed my sandals and disappeared. I had to walk home a mile barefoot. In the burning heat. FML
Lost
Today, I was having a good time drinking with a few friends. Next thing I know, I'm walking down an unknown street, with just one shoe, no wallet and no phone. FML
Today, I was heading out for my flight to Australia. I'd put a padlock on my luggage to keep my wallet and passport safe, only to realize way too late that I'd left the key at home. I couldn't get at my passport and ended up missing my flight and my whole vacation along with it. FML

Everyone has to take off their shoes in United States airport security... Usually your right by your stuff. Can't believe someone stole his shoes...

Maybe if I walked a mile in your shoes, I would know how you feel.

Maybe you can call a friend, or coworker, depending on why you rode a plane 1k miles from home.

1000 miles is more like 1600 k.. And I'm assuming they flew so they didn't have to drive for 15 hours..

im assuming 3 ment the reason he flew like work or vacation. if he was visiting family he could call a relative. if it was work he could call a coworker

Using 'k' to represent thousands here. More commonly used for money though.
confusedAsFuck 34
He used 'k' for kilometers.. You do realize there is another measuring system other than imperial, called metric!?
trex454 21
3 used K to represent thousands. 34 thought he was representing kilometer
badassmf1234 22
If he was referring to kilometres it's Km not k
Malecent 13
Sorry, I thought k was used to represent kilo or a thousand
False_Stupidity 42
Um, he said 1k miles, therefore in this instance k is referring to kilo or 1000 miles (i guess you could call that a kilomile)

I don't know if it's the same in OP's airport, but in mine there's so many stores that it could be considered a mall. Maybe OP's airport has some stores he can go to.

Get some flip flops at the airport, or go to nearest Walmart, or Payless. Can't be hard to get some quick kicks in a pinch.

Only in America you actually 'have' to take them off. It's fine on most other countries..

Apparently when some jagoff thought he could hide a bomb in his shoe decades ago he failed in an attempt to blow up the plane so then the US government made a law that you have to take your shoes off so they can go through the scanner. it's time consuming and rather pointless...

The airport security was too busy looking for shampoo in your backpack.
