Today, my new calculus teacher taught everything using nothing but soccer terms and analogies, just so the resident idiot meatheads would understand. I didn't learn a thing. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I learned, 90 horrifying minutes into a college exam, that my 85-year-old calculus teacher had spent the last three weeks teaching us the wrong chapter. FML
Today, in calculus, our substitute teacher told me I was smart. Everybody in the class, including my friends, burst out laughing. FML
Today, a professor approached me in the hall to ask if, since I'm a math major, I could tutor one of her communications majors in a required Calculus course. Apparently the volunteer tutor the school provides "is a complete dumbass." I'm the school's volunteer tutor. FML
Today, my math teacher decided to use my acne as an example of symmetry in front of the whole class. FML
Today, as I went into my calculus class, the teacher announced that someone had received a negative grade on the test we were getting back. I laughed and said, "Which f*cker managed to get a negative?" Turns out I'm the dumbass. FML
Today, I have a final for my precalculus class. After hours of studying this week, I felt pretty optimistic. Until I got to class and realized that I'd forgotten my calculator. FML
Today, disappointed with my results on a mathematics test, I went over it and realized my teacher had added up the marks incorrectly, leaving me with 17% less than I earned. The person who's supposed to be teaching me math can't even perform basic arithmetic. FML
Today, my math teacher told me to learn how to say "welcome to wal-mart". FML
Today, I had to find simple words to explain to the idiot I was tutoring that "1/4" is not of a greater value than "1/3" just because the denominator is bigger. FML
Today, my professor snapped and told me that I know nothing, that everything I've ever learned is wrong, and that all of my former teachers should be shot. FML

okay, just because one student has trouble understanding doesn't mean the whole class should have to be subject to that. maybe you could volunteer as a tutor or refer to a math help center>

well teach them of that dainty little sport where real men wear cool shorts and have actually ran the same drills as the students. you gotta be ready for that crap . when is the offside trap ? when you become the only one that doesn't know about soccer, you gotta blend in with others. looks like need to start watching soccer videos, starting back to preschool and up. then watch the various levels from recreational team, high school team, Olympic development pools, special elite teams. indoor, outdoor......

usually meatheads were the people that took algebra 1a for ninth grade algebra 1b for 10th and so forth. how are calculus students even considered in the same as those meat heads?

First off, I understand the pain of not understanding teachers. I've had one in calculus that literally couldn't work proofs of what we were supposed to use, and he plain didn't teach, as well as multiple foreign computer science teachers with accents that I could not comprehend. Second, on behalf of every soccer player I know, including myself, we are am very smart group. I graduated top of my class in high school, and received an academic full-ride scholarship. We are very intelligent. Perhaps you are the one having problems, and not the "meatheads" you are referring. You actually make yourself appear to be of lesser intelligence than the athletes in your class.
