Today, my neighbor yelled at me because her two kids got into my pool. They scaled a two-meter wall to get to my backyard. They used a tree in her yard that hangs over the wall. I guess I could install razor wire on top of the wall. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Common area
Today, I explained to my new neighbors that my kids will continue to use the pool in the backyard as they have for years. The neighbor immediately said my kids are not welcome in her yard and she is building a fence. I don’t know how to explain to my sweet babies they no longer have their pool. FML
Today, I was stretching on the balcony, when I heard my neighbor's daughter scream. She was playing in their kiddie pool and thought I was peeping on her. And now her parents think so too. FML
Today, my neighbor scolded me for "allowing" her son to be bitten by one of my dogs. This would be reasonable, except for the fact that her kid had jumped my fence and tried to steal a rattle out of my daughter's hands. FML
Today, I found out that my neighbors took it upon themselves to knock down the fence we shared, and putting up a new one. Thus fencing my pool into their yard. When I asked them why, he replied, "We thought you weren't coming back." I was gone for 4 months tending to my sister with breast cancer. FML
Today, my crazy neighbor screamed at me from her porch for walking "too close" to her plants. I was on the sidewalk. She sprayed me with her hose anyway. FML
Home sweet home
Today, my neighbor yelled “Fuck you!” at me through his window. My crime? Closing my front door “too loud.” This man lets his children beat on the walls and slam doors but apparently I’m the problem. FML
Today, I came home from vacation, only to find my neighbours relaxing on my patio, and their kids swimming in my pool. FML
Howdy!
Today, I met my new neighbors. The first thing they did was build a fence. FML
Today, I agreed to lend my daughter's inflatable pool to my neighbor for the day. Barely an hour later, I witnessed his son jump off their balcony, missing the pool by inches. He's now in hospital, and my neighbor has sworn to sue me, saying I'm responsible because the pool is mine. FML
Today, my neighbors threatened to sue me because a six-foot branch fell off one of my trees and into their yard, hitting nothing on the way down. FML

I'd tell her the next time they do that you're calling the cops for trespassing. She'll get the message when you actually do it. I hate parents who make excuses for their kids' bad behavior and blames everyone else.

I would put cactus after your two meters fence. Or security camera. If you can catch them on video, 1- you will be able to prove your innocence if there is an accident, 2- you sue her for trespassing if you want

Great answer, SM79. only thing I would add is to start it with "STFU, neighbor. Your kids broke the law." The sorriest part is that in most of the US at least, if one fo the kids drowned, the pool owner can and will be held liable in a civil case.

Build a wall of broccoli and books around your pool and kids will avoid it like the plague.

Property owners aren't responsible for trespassers getting hurt, unless you have things in your yard that are specifically designed to cause harm. So, fence or no fence, it's her problem.

Where i live, we have an "attractive nuisance" law that protects kids and makes homeowners liable in these situations.

Sounds like she's just at her wits end trying to keep her kids in line. Often trying to enforce rules for your kid is harder on the parent then it is on the kid.

get a tree trimming company to cut the tree back so it doesn't overhang your fence. problem solved

Oh great, another one of those parents who swears their kids can do no wrong... they need a good face slap of reality.
