Today, my mother told me she forgot what a verb is. I'm homeschooled, and she's my teacher. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I told my mom, "I love you". She responded with, "What? I never told you I loved you." FML
Not your day, is it?
Today, my mom kept swearing and punished me while I was in an online lesson. I almost got punished by the teacher as well. FML
Lose-lose
Today, I found out that my mother has been seeing my maths teacher. I'm still failing his class. FML
Today, after a conference with my teacher who had previously accused me of not doing my homework, she finally discovered she'd been losing it all this time. I've been getting straight Fs for a month. FML
Today, I was told by my teacher that she had 'given up' teaching me because someone had told her I have a mental illness, and that I don't understand what she says. FML
Not missing out on much
Today, my mom is obsessed with my academic success, as she was a highschool dropout, and actually gives me more homework than my school does, all so I’ll be more advanced than my peers. I barely know what a television is anymore, since it’s been so long I’ve had enough free time to watch one. FML
Today, my mom finally learned how to text. Now it's her way of communicating, even when we're in the same room. FML
Slipping up
Today, I was teaching a class when a student pointed out that I'd used the wrong "your/you're" while writing on the board. FML
Today, my English teacher told me that I failed my grammar test. Her exact words were "You ain't gonna pass this class if you ain't gonna study." FML
Truth bombs
Today, my mother-in-law came home drunk and said to my husband, "I told you not to bring a dumb girl home." I'm a kindergarten teacher with my own private school. FML

Well my friend never understood the verbs, adverbs, nouns and pronouns thing and she's top in English and English Literature. Lighten up OP. :)

I'd hate to see what the bottom of English and Literature looks like...

i've always been terribly bad at grammar tests, even though i speak three languages fluently. i just feel if something is right or wrong, but don't ask me to explain why it is that way...
Blueglasscup 18
Hehe. She just seems to know which words to use.

Well, it's literature, and not linguistics. If she knows the language naturally, then she should do fine, right?

I agree, 94 and 24. I have been an editor for 35 years, but I would be hard pressed to diagram a complex sentence. It is definitely a gut thing with me too.
