Today, my girlfriend told me she lost her phone and not to call or text her. After about three hours, I text her phone, asking if she found it yet. I got a reply, saying "Nope." FML

Today, my girlfriend hasn't spoken to me in a week, so I gave her a call. No reply. I texted her, and got a text back saying: "Sorry, dude. Better luck next time!" FML
Today, my girlfriend told me on Facebook to stop calling/texting her because she lost her phone. Right under her post was "sent from Facebook for iPhone." FML
Today, I noticed that my mom had left the house without her cell phone. I called her phone to let her know she forgot it. FML

Today, I found my phone under the car seat after three days. I flipped it open ready to issue apologies to everyone who had tried to get in touch with me and I had worried. No missed calls. FML
Today, my phone died while I was on the phone with my girlfriend. When I finally got a charger, I saw a text message from her. I'm now single. FML
Today, my dad let me use his phone. Five minutes later, he had my mom call it because he thought he'd lost it. FML
Today, my girlfriend accused me of not having any friends. So I sent out a mass text saying "Hey, what's up?" to prove her wrong. I didn't get any replies. FML
Today, I lost my phone. I called the number from my friend's phone, hoping I could find it. A guy answered, laughed "Thanks for the phone!" and hung up. FML
Today, My girlfriend and I were watching tv when suddenly one of our phones start going off. We both have the same phone and they were next to each other. She picks up the phone and reads the text message, "I wish you were here! I'd fuck you silly" She gets pissed and runs out. It was her phone. FML

Could have been a stranger who had picked up the phone, not knowing what to say to a random stranger and thinking a vaguely witty 'Nope!' would be the best way to solve the situation and to, sort of, be helpful? Optimistic, but I'll be the first to put it out there.

This reminds of a story I heard. A man lost his brand new iPhone and just to see if someone found it, he called it. A man answers and says, 'Yes, I have found your phone'. 'Can we meet so I can get it back?' 'Hell no, I was planning on getting one of these and now I got it for free...' Click! I think someone found it and texted back just for fun.

If he's right, that does kinda suck. Who knows. Also to everyone saying he's stupid for texting, its his girlfriend. its obviously not a good sing if she doesn't want him to text her for some reason. Because if your significant other told you not to call/text them based on a sketchy reason, that'd be totally cool with you? He's only human. Besides, based off of the reason she gave, texting her did no harm even if she had lost the phone, it was just futile.
