Today, my girlfriend broke up with me. As everything was ending, I tried to save the relationship by telling her how much I cared about her. Her response? "Please stop. You're gonna make me feel bad." FML

Today, my girlfriend had a complete breakdown. I was trying to calm her down and reassure her that she will accomplish all of her dreams. Her response: "Then why am I even with you?" FML

Today, my girlfriend broke up with me through a text message. In retaliation, I started typing a long list of everything I hate about her. Just as I pressed the send button, she text me again saying "Just joking. You know I'd never leave you. Love you babe :)" FML

This same thing just happen to me yesterday! =( so I know how you feel. T-T it's really sad and it hurts so much when this things happen. But we need to move on , go on with our lives, even if you find it difficult. I don't know your situation, but in my case, this was the first time I cared about someone so much T^T so I wanted to fight for him, a thing I had never done before for nobody, but at the end, I had to give up, cause he wanted to be alone and not with me anymore. oh and he said to me: Are you trying to make me feel bad?... my response... No! of course not! I just wanted you to know that.(how much I cared about him) So, I was just trying to be honest with him. And I think that's ok. There's nothing wrong in telling that.

Don't do that at a break up. They might stay with you because they feel bad; which means you're in a meaningless relationship. Plus, it makes you look like an attention ***** and it's annoying.

I've been that girl before. One time I listened to my (now ex) boyfriend and ended up dragging out a relationship that we were both miserable in all because I felt bad about making him feel bad. When I broke up with my last boyfriend, he tried the same thing but I had learned my lesson and I didn't listen to him--two weeks later he met the girl he's moving in with now and we're both happier. I've also been dumped before. I know it sucks. But when a relationship is over it's over and trying to save it like that is just going to make things worse.

I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence or not, but the FML right below yours was, "Today, I tried to break up with my boyfriend. He said no. FML" Which I find hilarious. Anyway. I agree that this is just a typical breakup. You'll get over it. In my opinion, you were just making it harder on the both of you by trying to salvage the relationship.

I have gotten that everyday since i broke up with my ex...he calls me every day saying how he still loves me and wants me back. its ******* annoying!

This is a pretty normal occurrence, same thing has happened to me. Though if you REALLY care about her, you should have the balls to go on loving her, and caring about her, even if you two are just friends. Not particularly FML-worthy.
