Today, my family got into a massive argument about whether or not battery-operated toothbrushes are considered electric toothbrushes. Everyone is in their own room and refuses to talk to each other. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out everyone in my family thought the red toothbrush was theirs, and that all four of us have been using the same toothbrush for months. FML
Today, I found out my whole family has been mistakenly using the same toothbrush for over a month. FML

Stuck in the middle with you
Today, I had to beg and argue with my boyfriend to get him to take a shower and brush his teeth. This has become a recurring argument now we're confined together. FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me because I refused to share a toothbrush with her. FML
Gross idea

Tetchy
Today, my partner got mad at me for forgetting to turn off the bedroom light when coming back from brushing my teeth, and has chosen to sleep in our spare bedroom over it. FML
Fanatic
Today, I bought an electric toothbrush because they're supposed to be a lot healthier than regular ones. My crazy religious mom immediately called me a whore and said she knew what I really wanted to use it for. So that's $80 in the trash. FML
Quality family time
Today, after a long talk with the kids, I finally got all the chores around the house done early so we could have a fun family weekend. My wife decided to be a wet blanket and insisted we needed to deep clean the already clean kitchen. Three arguments later, everyone is sulking, and I'm working in the kitchen alone. FML

...If they're battery operated, they thus function using electricity and would be electric toothbrushes... or am I missing something?

I'm guessing some of the family thinks thay plug in ones would be referred to as electric whereas ones with batteries would be more specifically called battery-operated.

Stay tuned for next weeks season finale when the Smith family discusses non-battery vs battery vs electric toothbrushes

Arguments about toothbrushes can lead to the decay of family values. Just be glad no one died. The last thing you want is a floss in the family. Just brush it off and it will be ok. Also keep the family calm or else the police will show up and you don't want any cavity searches.

This sounds like one of those tumblr stories that are believable but still strangely hard to believe

Since batteries generate electricity, then yes, those battery-powered toothbrushes are electric.

Batteries store electric, they don't generate it.

batteries are prison cells for the souls of the damned, therefore the toothbrushes are witchcraft powered not electric. duh

Ya know, not to be rude but I suspect it may be better if none of them speak to each other for a while
