Today, my college professor/employer failed to send in a letter I had been counting on for a scholarship application. He has also decided not to pay me for the last two months. I'm not going to make rent. Apparently this is the punishment you get for politely declining a date with a married man. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I received a surprise "absolute final notice" email for payment of an overdue fee from the university I withdrew from 6 months ago. Turns out, my old landlord has been hoarding their letters to me. As a result, my credit is now in the shitter and I had to pay an extra $120 in interest. FML
Today, I got a letter saying I was no longer a student at my college and my current work is void since I had ignored and refused to pay my tuition bill. Over the past month I've been deleting these pesky emails saying 'FINAL WARNING regarding payment' thinking it was more spam. They weren't. FML
Today, I got an email stating that my scholarship request was denied, 51 days after applying with no response. I'm now forced to drop-out from my college degree because I ran out of money, and I've been unsuccessful at finding a job for two years either, thanks to Covid. FML
Today, I was put on academic suspension only to find out my professor entered my grade wrong. I lost my financial aid and have to explain to my parents why I’m not in college anymore. FML
Today, my boss fired me after chewing me out for the horrible date he had with my mother. FML
Today, my roommate and I received a non-payment notice from our landlord, over a dishonored check that was used to pay the rent. I give my roommate money for my share and she handles the checks. Apparently, her trip to Puerto Rico was more important than paying rent. FML
Today, I found out that I owe my college a little over $10,000. Why? Because, due to a slight misspelling of my name, the scholarship that I have been going insane trying to meet the requirements for is not actually giving me any funding. FML
Today, I was taking the final exam for one of my classes. The teacher came over to my desk, grabbed my test and ripped it in half. Then he grabbed my hand and read the note I had written on it to remind myself to pay rent. FML
Today, I texted my flatmate to ask him when he would be paying his portion of the rent, since he has told me he would be late this month. He wrote back to inform me that he had moved out last night while I was away, and that he won't be paying me anything. FML
Today, I found out that a single unpaid parking ticket from September put my student account on hold and unregistered me from all my spring classes. I'm a senior and this is my last semester. FML

If I were in your place I would do nothing. Finish ur degree and then listen to every one thats talking here. Losing a reference and however many years u've worked for your degree just isn't worthed.

1) thats illegal, he can't not pay you for two months, that you can sue for. 2) if you can prove sexual harrasment you can also sue for that. 3) even if you do sue, it wouldn't do you much good, it would take months in courts and you would have to find another place to live, but my guess is he just wants to "punish" you by making you lose a scholarship and making you not be abe to afford rent. unfortunately, he wins sorry

Go talk to whichever local t.v. station does the "Problem Solver" thing. Those Pinkos in the press instinctively hate academics, (probably because as "communications majors" they never got a single iota of respect from any of their professors), and I guarantee when a reporter calls the Dean, the school will settle so fast your head will spin. Now, on the downside, the scumbag, if he's tenured, will not only not lose his job, he probably won't even be punished.

This sets me on fire! I can't believe how arrogant and high-and-mighty he must feel. If you explain the chain of events, this would be considered sexual harassment, the lost pay is illegal, and the loss of scholarship makes him look awful. I would take this to the dean and get myself a lawer. It's not that you're going to win a million dollar lawsuit, but you CAN get your own justice. AT LEAST you can save his wife from dealing with a cheating husband, just by taking these steps. I hope to high heaven you nail him! (And I don't mean sexually). I wouldn't mind updates, too. If I was in Cali, and not in WA, I'd help you do this, personally. I'm not a lawer, but if you need help, please post what you need. I'm pulling for you!
