Today, I was taking the final exam for one of my classes. The teacher came over to my desk, grabbed my test and ripped it in half. Then he grabbed my hand and read the note I had written on it to remind myself to pay rent. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was a TA for a history class and the class was taking a test. About halfway through, I noticed one kid had a small piece of paper in his hand. I ran up the row, grabbed his test, and ripped it into four pieces. Then I took the note from him. It said "I believe in you, -Mom." FML
Today, I attempted to cheat on a test by writing some notes on my hand. During the test I had a question. I raised my hand. FML
Today, I found out that my entire class, me included, has to rewrite the painfully difficult midterm we wrote last week. All this because the Professor left the exams strewn across her desk. The cleaners thought it was trash and disposed of them. FML
Today, I was in class just taking notes and minding my own business. The teacher has already called my parents twice complaining about me. As we are taking 3 pages of notes she grabs mine and rips them up, saying that she is sick and tired of me drawing. I was drawing the graphs on the board. FML
Today, I took a final for my law class. As I was taking the test, I noticed the girl on my left copying off me. I wrote all the wrong answers on my sheet while writing the correct answers on my desk hoping she would copy the wrong answers down. I forgot to write the correct answers on my test. FML
Today, I went into my classroom to find a bag of shit on my desk with a note saying, "Thanks for failing me b*tch!" FML
Today, I got my results on a recent, important midterm. During the exam, I'd noticed my instructor had accidentally left an answers page in the test packet, so being honest, I didn't look at them. It turns out she did it on purpose to help us pass. I failed. FML
Nice try
Today, I cheated on a math test by writing a couple of equations on my hand. Totally satisfied, I handed my test in, feeling like I had aced it. As I was heading toward the door, I happily waved goodbye to my teacher. She saw everything. FML
Good catch
Today, I was passing notes in class with my crush. I started to pour my heart out and tell him about how I've liked him for years. I was caught by the teacher. He looked at it, laughed, and tore it up. He then looked at me and said, "I just saved you from years of embarrassment. You're welcome." FML
Pile up
Today, I was separating my notes into two piles: one to save for exam studying and one to throw out. I finished separating, picked up the junk pile, and absentmindedly shredded it. Afterwards, I looked down to see the junk pile still completely intact. Goodbye, passing grades. FML

Dude, YDI for writing notes on the test, even though it wasn't to anyone else. Still you got to be cautious with these things. FYL and YDI

what does ydi mean?

I have to agree, the exam invigilators state before the exam that you should remove all notes before entering the room.

Haha OP now you know to never write notes on a test, Teachers will always think it's a cheat note. But OP you really deserve it...

Kind of messed up that your pro would make a big scene like that and disrupt everyone else's finals. Must be ******* nuts.

HAND! The note was written on OP's HAND. Read the FML right or don't bother to comment.
xerbrus 14
stfu 125 the person you commented under didn't say it was on a piece of paper so don't correct him

The note was written on his hand, not the test.
FreddyLunch 0
That was bad wording by the above. You shouldn't write notes on your hand because it could be something that helps you remember parts of the course. Rent could be a memory aid for something. You couldn't write notes on the test because you wouldn't have received it until you sat down to take it and therefore it would be fine to write notes on the test because it's yours to write what you want on it.

yeah, because there's not enough people playng the race card in our society,
betty66 3
he wouldn't read it anyways
Chibi_fml 9
It's not always about race, you know. Unless the OP has prior experience or proof that racism was involved, I have no idea why you would bring this up. Some teachers just have it in their minds that every student is a cheater, regardless of race or age or whatever.
RyeBreadBoy 0
I agree with 22. The teacher probably gave him another copy of the exam and additional time to make up for it. Plus, it wasn't a racially motivated action on the part of the teacher (he had just cause to be suspicious). I find the idea of falsely crying racism repugnant.
14hatemachine 2
i agree with otter, and you're a ******* shithawk blalien - i suggest you do a little research next time before you talk shit about racial minority - you'll find that Whites make up only about eight percent of the world's population - and also that we don't need any more racist shit dumped on us from retarded assfucks like yourself.
blalien 0
Um...how could you possibly interpret that to conclude that I hate minorities? It was just a joke. You two are ******* nuts and should not be in public by yourselves.
little_otter 0
you sound racist.
Sappheyes 0
None of the interpretations were that you hate minorities. Rather, they (and I) saw that you were quick to throw a racial discrimination claim into a situation where it should not be.
DemonChicken 0
you never know I go to a very racially divided school and I'm white and see minoritys picked on all the time
TheTruth1428 0
I agree. There was no reason to write a note before or during a test. If it was something as important as rent, you should have remembered it without writing it down.
kdb268 1
re: #64: Really? You've never had to write down a reminder for something important? It's the important things that get written down, you know, because they're important. There's a whole industry of paper- and electronic-based planners designed to help people write down or otherwise record important to-dos. That teacher must have been under some serious stress to go that far without even checking the note. I bet he felt like a dumbass after seeing what was on your hand. But really: LOL! I hope it all worked out okay!
NeatNit 33
12, memorising school stuff with codes is a legit way. My history teacher even uses it sometimes to remind us stuff during tests. It's fine as long the actual answer isn't mentioned. All it does is remind you what you already know. Teachers shouldn't give a **** about how you do that.
DirtyDiana_fml 0
He should be posting the fml, he's an asshole.

Man, I would have punched him!

It was 3 comments dumbass.

If he doesn't let you make up the test, take the matter up with the department chair or dean.
TheOtherNewest1 6
Um, seriously? Who the **** reads the student handbook?
FerrariCake 2
Obviously #9 doesn't read any student handbook. It's up the individual professors to decide what materials students can use during an exam. There is no university or college that has a general policy that forbids specific materials during an exam. #9 might actually discover this to be true if he every gets close to a university campus.

Wow fyl!

I am in so much agreement. I used to write everything on my hands- it was the only way I could get things done. And just today I was invigilating an exam; if someone looked like he was cheating, it'd be ask first, *consider* ripping later. WTF is with the overly-dramatic teachers that harass the FMLers? This is the second exam-ripping one I've seen.
batosai33 0
exactly. that is why YDI

He'll probably try to read something into that note...a secret message perhaps

That's messed up. He didn't even check to see what was written on your hand first? I write reminders in my hand all the time.
Tequilamockngbrd 7
Ohh. Duh. I totally didn't read that correctly. Yeah, never write anything on your hand before a test. Leave a note on your door, or something.
calikola 0
Or how about the professor could have looked to see what was on his hand first, before ripping up the test? Is it so much to ask that someone confirms their suspicions before acting rashly. I'm sure a two word note on his hand like "Pay rent" didn't look a damn thing like the kind of notes one would need to cheat.
