Today, my boyfriend told me he only loves me sometimes. He explained what days he chooses to love me and what days he doesn't want to. I told him that's not how it works. He disagreed. He's 27. He still doesn't understand why this is a problem. FML

Today, my boyfriend called and asked me why I love him. I told him because he's always there for me and continues to put up with my bipolar disorder. He promptly said "not anymore" and hung up. FML

Today, my boyfriend still doesn't "believe" in Valentine's Day. Every year I feel stupid for caring about this. FML
Today, my partner of 4 years has told me that trying to be emotionally present and initiate affection from time to time is too much of a change for them to handle. I wish they had said that the first time I brought it up, instead of stringing me along. Oh, but they "love me". Just not enough to be a better person. FML

Today, after a tiff with my boyfriend, I said to him, "You could at least PRETEND to love me sometimes." He responded with, "I do pretend to love you!" FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I didn't feel like he loved me. His response? "Why else would I be with you? Your looks?" He was serious. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I love him. He replied by telling me to fuck off. FML

This reminds me of that YouTube kid who says he only likes his mommy when she gives him cookies. I think your boyfriend may actually be a two-year-old.

He sounds like an excessively spoilt child. I doubt whether talking will help much, he seems to be stubborn too. If he wants to act like a child treat him like one. I don't mean for you to physically discipline him, but you need to show him that he can't always get what he wants.

He may not completely understand what love really is and isn't in love with you. His fondness can change daily or more often, which everyones does and it's important to be honest about that. Just don't force him to commit and push "love" when it's rather obvious he isn't ready.

If you are in love, you know it and it doesn't just apply just on Tuesdays and bank holidays! There are times I really don't like my wife, but I still love her unconditionally!! The boyfriend is a certifiable idiot!!!
