Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste

Today, my boyfriend was introducing me to some business partners. As he was going along telling me their names, when he introduced me, he called me by my best friend's name. FML

Freudian
Today, I was introducing my boyfriend to my parents for the first time. I meant to say, "Mom, Dad, this is Tom." Instead, I said, "Mom, Dad, this is Mom." My boyfriend is now jokingly reconsidering our relationship, and my parents won't stop making fun of me. FML
Nice to meet you… again
Today, my mother invited me to a nice restaurant to meet her boyfriend whom she's been seriously dating for a month. Imagine my surprise when she led me to a table and my boyfriend's father stood up, shocked, to greet me. Rather than being horrified, she is now planning double dates every week. FML
Sneaky
Today, after dating someone for a year and a half, upon meeting his mother for the first time he'd told me she has bad anxiety and that he’s going to introduce me as his friend, and the only reason I was meeting her was because she was selling her deceased husband's car. FML

What a bitch. Introduce her as your boyfriends great grandmother.

10 years? And you're still his girlfriend? I think that may be the reason she referred to you as his friend. He either sucks at commitment or this is a very open relationship. Still a mean thing to do, of course.

Write...ten years and he's still your "boyfriend?" Most people would be married at this point.

Wow. I would have socked him and the nuts and whispered in his ear, "Friends, huh? I guess you won't mind if I sleep with your best friend."

Maybe because he's still only your "boyfriend" after 10 years??

Was he there with you? If so, he should have corrected his mother! You'd think after 10 years his mother would appreciate your relationship with her son.
