Today, my bird learned how to mimic the fire alarm after my dad has been testing them for the last few months. He now enjoys sounding like a fire alarm anytime I turn the lights off with the other bird joining in. They live in my room. FML

Today, my smoke alarm started chirping at 3 a.m. I replaced the battery, reset it, and got back into bed. Five minutes later, it chirped again. I searched for the source before realizing it was my roommate's alarm clock. FML

Today, I set an elaborate alarm system to wake up early. I woke up to the soothing sounds of birds chirping, only to discover that I had accidentally set my ringtone to bird noises instead of an actual alarm. I missed my morning meeting. FML

I think if you cover its cage, it's suppose to stay quiet. I don't know if it's for all types birds.

that's what i'm thinking... it takes some time being around something for a bird to learn it. so that fire alarm must be going off more than a couple times. so either you need to learn to cook or stop being such a fire bug

actually, it only takes once for a bird to hear a sound and they can pick it up if it sounds interesting enough to them

I'm assuming this beautiful bird to the left is who your talking about? I've always wanted a bird. But when I was younger I had a parakette (sp?) and it died attach to the side of the cage. It was crazy. So my parents told me no more birds after that. And my husband won't let me get one because he's scared the cats will get it. We have 2 of the lazyest cats around. They're well trained!! I want a talking bird damn it!!!! Hrmph!!!
