Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I saved a kitten from the streets, cleaned her up and asked the vet what I should do with her because she was the sweetest thing and my cat has a highly contagious illness. The vet had to put her down. FML
Today, I took my cat to the vet. He said he felt a strange lump that could be serious. I got really upset and picked her up, crying. The vet then told me I had to put her down. Absolutely devastated by having to euthanize my cat, I passed out. He meant I had to put her back on the table. FML
Today, I took my wife's cat to the vet for her yearly check up. I'm finishing the day at the hospital with multiple bite wounds and a deep gash in my leg. My wife chose to comfort her cat instead. FML
Today, my cat was looking a little peaky. After craning my neck to check for lumps under his chin, he felt this was the perfect time to throw up a half-digested mouse onto my face. FML
Today, my cat attempted to make up for my insomnia with a dead mouse. I have no idea where he got it. FML
Today, my ill-tempered cat tried to slap me in the face. She ended up sticking one of her claws as far up my nostril as it would go, and got stuck. Not only did I kinda get to experience what it feels like to be stabbed, I also got a horrible nosebleed. FML
Today, our family cat died. He had a disease (forget the name). My sister brought home a bunny, and I thought nothing of it until I tried to make the cat and the bunny friends. Sadly, it triggered his illness from stress, and he tragically passed away 4 days later. I still believe it's my fault; everyone says otherwise. FML
Today, while at the dinner table, my grandmother told me she backed over a cat. FML
Today, I went to visit my grandmother. My grandfather recently died, so I had gotten her a cat for comfort. Turns out in her sadness, she had forgotten about the cat. I found its remains being eaten by ants and birds. FML
Today, I ignored my cat's incessant meowing, and pushed him away every time he wanted to be petted. The next time I walked downstairs I found him dead. FML

Actually 13, many human meds are given to animals. Such as off-the-shelf antihistamines etc. I think it's more a case of 'never give animals medicine without a professional telling you to.' For dosing quantities for one...

When it comes to cats you have to be more careful and with say dogs. Because a cat's liver isn't that good handling such things. Won't link because it's early and I need to sleep.

yes, I understand they can have some medications designed for humans. But only an animal specialist should give advice on this. For example, a small amount of paracetamol is very harmful to animals, where as it doesn't harm people in reasonable doses.

my cats and dogs get human meds all the time. okay'd by my vet of course.. human meds are cheaper & generally the same thing, like Tylenol for pain. ... our other farm animals (goats,llamas) get cow de-wormer... actually they use that on humans in 3rd world country too.. if you know what your using & the proper dosage it doesn't matter what it says it's for.

Depends on your knowledge.. Ibuprofen is safe for cats for example. Aspirin is a pure poison for cats, it causes swelling, trouble breathing etc.. poor cat :(
