Today, it was my court date for a car accident I was involved in back in July. I had spent months preparing a case to prove my innocence. I was scheduled to appear at 10:00 this morning. I woke up at 10:15AM. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Nice try
Today, I had to go to court to see whether my driver's license is suspended for an entire year. I woke up early, went to court, and everything went perfectly, with all the charges being dropped. Unfortunately, I then woke up, and am now going to be late. FML
Today, I got a speeding ticket while driving to my court date for a prior speeding ticket. FML
Paperwork and bureaucracy
Today, I went to court because I got a traffic ticket for running a red light. While I was in court, I found out it was actually for a car I had sold years ago. FML
Today, I got so anxious while trying to fight the ticket I got earlier this month that I passed out in front of the judge. FML
Everybody needs good neighbours
Today, I got t-boned while on my way represent myself in a deposition for a lawsuit I filed against my neighbor. The other driver was my neighbor's husband. FML
Today, I had to skip class to attend a truancy court hearing. FML
It wasn't me
Today, I got a letter summoning me to court for leaving the scene of a car accident I had in London. I live in Manchester and don't own a car. FML
Today, after sleeping in, I finally sorted through a stack of mail I had been putting off and I found a Jury summons. Thinking it must be coming up soon, I checked the date, my appearance is scheduled for 7:45am on November 16th. Today is November 17th. FML
Today, I got in a car accident on the way to the DMV to take my drivers test. FML
Today, I had a rude awakening after a traffic accident the day before. I'd fled the scene to avoid having to pay hefty damage fines. I would have gotten away with it too, if my license plate hadn't fallen off and incriminated me. FML

At least the "months" you spent totaled no more than *two* months.

YDI for not setting your alarm, or for sleeping through it.

Maybe he wanted to gather as much evidence as possible so there'd be a near 100% chance he'd win his case? Idk. I'm just someone who posted an FML about having his cat murdered and hung on a ceiling fan and a gang of trolls yelled at me because they didn't believe my unfortunate tragedy D: That's meh :D

Dude... you woke up fifteen minutes late. What kind of an FML is this?

how can a person still be asleep at 10 in the morning?? you deserve it for being a ******* lazy ****. grow up.

Usually someone sleeps till that late because a) They have a hangover or b) they were really busy the night before and couldn't get to bed until late. In this case... it's probably b because the OP probably isn't stupid enough to get drunk the night before he has a court-case.... so don't think the OP is lazy. Don't cut to conclusions.

I hardly ever wake up before 10... ? So people go to bed later and wake up later. Deal with it.

your alarm clock magically knows when you need to wake up ? jealous.

Oh good god I love assumptions. Some people sleep through their alarms by accident, sometimes the power can go out and the clock stops working (we don't all have battery powered ones.) Don't give me that "NOBODY SLEEPS UNTIL TEN OCLOCK UNLESS THEY WERE GETTING CRUNK THE NIGHT BEFORE" shit, you aren't everyone. My optimum amount of sleep-time for my body is like fifteen hours, which just isn't feasible...

No worries, just say you were involved in a car accident, and hence was late.
