Today, it's my one year anniversary with my boyfriend, and all I wanted to do was treat him to dinner and be intimate with him. However, today is also the ninth day of my period and the fifth day that I’m feeling constantly nauseous. My period should’ve ended five days ago. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, it was my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. We had dinner reservations to an expensive restaurant and planned to see a movie after. At least, we did, until he called to tell me he'd volunteered to work tonight. He won't get off until 2am. FML
Today, it's day 9 of my honeymoon. It's also day 8 of my period and day 7 of food poisoning. FML
It's all too much
Today, my boyfriend has been in the hospital since Saturday and I don't know when he'll be home, the anniversary of my favorite grandma's death is coming up, and it's the week before my period. My emotions are so out of whack that even I'm sick of myself. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were finally able to settle on having a day out together after putting it off for months because of work/other random reasons. This morning I woke up with the worst case of diarrhea I’ve ever had in my life. I won’t be leaving the bathroom anytime soon. FML
Happy… where d'he go?
Today, it's our fifth-year anniversary with my boyfriend. I gave him his gift and walked over to the kitchen to serve him some food I'd made. On my way back to the dining room, I overheard his plans with his friend to ditch me in 10 minutes. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I celebrated our six-month anniversary. And by that, I mean he brought along his obnoxious best friend, and I paid for everyone's dinner at an expensive restaurant. FML
Today, my boyfriend came to my house for the first time. Today was also the day my body decided to throw up violently for four hours while he awkwardly sat beside me, waiting for his ride home. FML
Today, while I was at my boyfriend's house, I got my period. About an hour after I told him, he impatiently said, "Is it over yet?" FML
Today, I was spending time with my boyfriend for our one year anniversary. Trying to be romantic, I told him that I loved him and I was so glad I was with him. He responded by giving me a thumbs-up and turning back to the TV. FML
Romance is dead
Today, I thought I would be cute for my one year anniversary with my girlfriend, so I cooked a three course meal for her with candles and rose petals on the floor. She loved the dinner, except now she's passed out in a food coma upstairs while I'm left with the dishes. FML

"Boomer". Well that explains a lot if you're from that generation.

Lol that's nothin. Mine went for 3 weeks once! And many women have them for months or even a year! Men have it so easy 🤦🏽♀️

Periods should go on for a week or at least mine are around 7 days. If you have a period for a year or even 3 weeks, you should go to the doctor. That is not normal, and could be a sign of something else.

Unfortunately if she's using an IUD for Birth control, bleeding for extended periods of time isn't actually that unusual.

I hope you're still going to see a doctor about that. That doesn't sound right.

Once upon a time, I had a 5 week streak going... I finally went to the doctor because I felt sickly alongside it, thought I was anemic. I went into urgent surgery about a week later to have a massive dermoid cyst removed and a uterine biopsy. Nothing was the same after that... and now I have nothing in there at all. The every once in a while random long one is one thing, but ladies... If you're reading this comment and you regularly have random super long periods and no logical medical reason for it, see a dang doctor. Prioritize yourself! As much as I enjoy being uterus and ovary free now, it would have been nice to avoid the surgeries all together... Who knows how things would be different had I valued myself more highly back then!
