Today, in the fitting room at Old Navy, a customer asked me if we sold Calvin Klein jeans. I replied "no ma'am, this isn't a department store, we only sell Old Navy jeans." She left, and complained to my manager, who informed me that "the customer is always right." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Silver linings
Today, I went shopping for a new pair of jeans. I was feeling good about the fact that I was going down a waist size until the cashier decided to discuss with me, three co-workers, and the ten other people in line how she didn't even know jeans came in sizes that big. FML
Wait, what?
Today, a customer said the pants she was buying rang up more than advertised. I quietly told her plus-sizes were not on sale. The customer yelled in front of a whole line of people, "So I'm fat and can't read! Any other insults you'd like to throw at me?" and stormed out of the store. FML
Am I the asshole?
Today, a heavy set lady came to my boutique asking for our "largest" 28in size jeans. I decided to humor her by giving a 52 mislabeled as a 28. It fit perfectly! She happily bought it and left. Later, her mother, who is a Super Karen and twice her size, came to complain about me to the owner for bodyshaming her daughter. FML
Working in retail sucks
Today, a customer yelled at me because we didn't have any laptops in stock. I work at a clothing store. FML
Not now!
Today, I was in a department store with my three year old daughter to buy some new jeans. I took her into the dressing room with me and as I began to take off my pants she yells, "Mommy, you can't go peepee in here!!" I am no longer welcome in that particular store. FML
Today, a customer told me that there was no way he was paying for his shopping. He then walked off. As it turns out, the customer IS always right. FML
Today, while standing in line at the grocery store, I noticed that myself and the woman in front of me were wearing the same shirt. As she was about to leave, I said to her "Hey! I'm wearing that shirt!" She turned to me and replied, "Not in THIS size you aren't." FML
Bigmouth strikes again
Today, I thought the cashier said the new blouse I picked out was ugly as she was ringing me up. I'm really self-conscious about my fashion sense, so I snapped and started yelling at her. It wasn't until she was close to tears did I find out she said "lovely" not "ugly". So, that's another store I can't go back to. FML
Today, I went shopping with a friend. She went to try some clothes on and came out to ask for my opinion. "Hell no! That shirt is awful!" She wanted to show me the pants. The shirt was hers. FML
Tailored
Today, I went shopping with my grandma. Told her I saw a pretty dress I liked. She asked me who would fit in that? When I replied they have it in different sizes. She replied with, "Yeah but definitely not yours.". FML

Have a friend pose as a customer and give you a home made coupon that says "All the shit I want for free". They're the customer; they're right.

Customers will be customers. In general, they suck. Your manager, on the other hand, is a total B***H! Remind me to complain to your manager about not getting merchandise for free. I don't like GAP products but, I'll wear 'free'.

if the customer is always right your manager needs to pull the calvin kline jeans out of his ass then. what an idiot

Your manager is a retard. Believing that "customer is always right" is part of the reason we're in this moronic age of entitlement. http://notalwaysright.com/

That's awesome. And if she was stupid enough to think Old Navy sold CK jeans, she deserved to have someone be condescending to her.

Basically this women was offended by the fact that she was wrong and decided to "get back" at you. How pathetic. You didn't get fired or anything did you? If so you would DEFINITELY have a solid case against old navy to sue for your job back.

I work in retail and I know exactly what you're going through. People come up to me constantly and are like "This store has this but you don't" ..... Then go shop there!! That is ridiculous that your boss would stick up for her like that.
