Today, I bought a new goldfish. While leaving my fish on my balcony to go get fish food, I hear a loud squawk and splash, I race outside to see a bird flying off with my fish. FML
Today, my sister presented me with an "official pet killer" award after yet another goldfish under my care died of unknown causes. FML
Today, was very chilly. My little sister felt sorry for my two goldfish swimming in the cold water. She decided to put them in hot water. They died. FML
Today, my 5 year old fish died. As I was flushing him, he started swimming again. FML
Today, as part of my job at a pet store, I helped our frat house president pick out goldfish for the new aquarium the big brothers are installing over summer break. And, once I'm initiated, I'll get to swallow one of the fish. FML
Today, I went to see a fortune teller. She said one of my closest friends will die soon because of me. Frightened I hurried home to avoid meeting anyone I know. At home I found my goldfish floating on its back. Apparently I forgot to feed my closest friend for the past 3 days. FML
Today, I woke up to find my best friend lying down and unresponsive. Frightened, I tapped on the glass. He got scared and started swimming again. My best friend is a fish. FML
Today, I was so bored that I filmed my goldfish while it was eating. FML
Today, while doing some spring cleaning, I found the remains of my goldfish, which I was sure my cat ate last year. FML
Today, I bought a new Siamese Fighting Fish. I was so happy with my new fish so I bought him an expensive lovely bowl, some weeds, and a toy for the bowl. I left the room to get the fish food. When I returned, the fish was gone, and the cat was sitting on the table. FML

I'm not actually sure it is. What age can a child be young enough to not understand that but old enough to get the fish out of the bowl without anyone watching? Even two years olds I work with know that fish live in water. They see it in books, tv, ponds, everywhere. It's the one thing they DO know about fish. (they might still try and pick it up out of curiosity but they probably wouldn't give the excuse of it needing air) And as two year olds shouldn't really be left alone with open fish bowls...I can't see an age where this isn't someone's fault.

It depends on how old your little brother is. If he is a small kid (5 and under) it is your fault for not stopping him/ watching him more closely. If he is older, I am sorry your brother is a moron.
