Today, I went to the doctor to find out why I've been feeling so sick the past several weeks. Turns out, I'm severely allergic to the cat of my girlfriend of two years. I told her "It's me or the cat." She chose the cat. FML

Today, I went to the doctor for allergy testing. Apparently, one of my worst allergies is cats. I'm a "crazy cat lady" who loves anything cat-related and has 3 cats. Allergy shots, here I come. FML

I disagree. Having a *severe* allergy to a pet won't go away because you pop a few pills. Allergy medication doesn't work perfectly either. I think OP's ex wasn't thinking rationally. Instead of a husband for life, she gets a cat for about 12 years.

I have severe cat allergies and I have tried every medicine in the book but it's still unbearable any time I'm near a cat I can't see and can hardly breathe, so I'm on the OP's side 100%
