Today, I went to see a psychiatrist for my depression and low self esteem. While in the waiting room, I overheard a guy telling his friend how ugly I am. FML

Today, I was in a toilet cubicle, when I overheard two of my friends at the sink talking about how ugly and skinny I was. FML
Today, at work, I overheard two of my coworkers talking about how "creepy" and "ugly" I am, and that I look like I'd be the kind of guy to sneak into someone's house and "have my way" with them. Boy, did that sure help with my self-esteem issues. I'm going to go and report them, but still. FML
Today, I went to the doctor to talk about my depression and low self-esteem. He told me that I shouldn't think of myself as a fat pig for being overweight. I don't think that and I'm NOT overweight. FML
Today, I walked into work and overheard three of my female coworkers talking and laughing about how ugly my face is, and how they’re sorry for whoever has to marry me. They went on to name the coworkers they actually would sleep with. I’m 25 and I've still never had a girlfriend. Thanks for the self-esteem boost. FML
Today, I was reminded that while I have a nice waist, bum and boobs, I'm unspeakably ugly. I was walking down the street when a guy wolf-whistled from behind me, and when I turned around, he visibly recoiled in disgust. FML
Today, a therapist told me that I was too depressed to attend his depression group meetings. FML
Today, at lunch, I was talking to my friends about having a boyfriend. Suddenly, some boy I don't even know said, "Nobody wants to date that ugly bitch." FML
Today, my self-esteem has gotten so low that when I was out walking my boss's dog and someone called out, "Beautiful!" I assumed they were talking about the dog. They had to clarify they were speaking about me. FML
Today, while eating at my college cafeteria, I started thinking about all the awful crap going on in my life right now, and I started sobbing. Some guy at another table started snickering at me, at which point the guy I like said, "Give her a break. If I was as fuck-ugly as her, I'd be crying too." FML
Today, my friend, knowing my mental health is really bad right now, decided to yell out the fact I have an eating disorder, and how she never sees me eat ever, then started to talk about self-harm and how she would never do it despite what she has gone through. All while side-eyeing me when talking to other people. FML

Self-esteem... If you gauge yourself by giving a shit about what others think about you, thats the ******* problem! Stop giving a shit about what other people think about you. Luckily, I figured this out in high school: Its only "low" self-esteem if you believe what other dumb ***** tell you. School counselors included! Actually, they're the worst at feeding the beast. You are an individual, **** everyone else. You don't fit into their manufactured stereotype, so ******* what? What is the point of being fake just to be accepted? All you get then is fake friends, fake happiness, and fake "self-esteem." btw, POST PICS!! lol!

No matter what they look like, everyone deserves to feel beautiful. And your definition of beautiful might not be the same as the commenters telling her to get plastic surgery. It would make it worse for her.

OP- don't listen to any of these jackass posters or the guy in the office. It's possible that guy wasn't talking about you. And if you feel that you are ugly, do something that makes you feel good. Get a nice haircut, get your makeup done, etc. Truth is- 90% of us are "ugly" in some way on the outside- the other 10% are genetic freaks.
