Today, I went to get new shoes. I'm a pretty tall girl and I have proportional feet. I asked the cute guy who worked there for a size 9.5. He burst into laughter before putting on a shocked face and saying, "Oh wait... You're serious." Goodbye, self esteem. FML

Today, a male employee at a shoe shop helped me try on shoes. Once I found a pair, I went to pay for them. I was telling the cashier about how great of an employee he was when she told me there were no male employees. A guy with a foot fetish helped me find shoes. FML
Today, I went to a mall and got some really awesome shoes. I went home to find out that they are actually women's shoes. I'm a dude. FML
Today, while shopping for a pair of shoes, I saw a pair I really liked lying around, so I sat down to try them on. Then, a man came up to me and pointed out that they were actually his shoes. FML
Today, I went shopping for a new pair of jeans. I was feeling good about the fact that I was going down a waist size until the cashier decided to discuss with me, three co-workers, and the ten other people in line how she didn't even know jeans came in sizes that big. FML
Today, I was trying on some shoes when I felt the heels break underneath me. Not only did they cost two paychecks worth, but as I was leaving I heard the sales girl say that "we really should have a weight limit for who can try on our products." FML
Today, while shopping for a birthday present for my size 0 friend, I picked out a pair of pants for her. When paying, the cashier looked me up and down and said, "Well, you're pretty optimistic aren't you?" FML
Today, a middle-aged woman came into the shoe shop where I work, and asked me to help her put on a pair of boots that were obviously too small. Simultaneously as I knelt down by her feet, she booted me in the face while we tried to get them on. FML
Today, I was working at a shoe store and was helping a dude try on shoes. He looked like trouble and I wanted to finish with him. When he finally picked his shoes, he abruptly stood up and ran out of the store with the shoes on. The cost of them was deducted from my salary. $240. FML
Today, I was at the mall with my friend. A lady came up to us and told my friend that she could be a model. Then the lady looked at me and said, "Oh... Nice shoes." FML
Today, at work, an obese woman insisted she took a size 5 shoe, despite me measuring her at a size 11. Then when the 5 I politely fetched for her didn’t come close to fitting, she told the manager I was fatshaming her. Her feet were ham joints below cankles as thick as my thigh. She stank too. FML

9.5 isn't even a huge size, I know of women with size 11 feet. Honestly, no one notices your feet, don't worry about it!

Hey OP, I'm 6'9" and always have to struggle with unwanted attention from other people and their stupidity. While it is nice to be tall, it sucks to tell 10 different people a day how tall I am and that I do not play basketball. Eventually only humor helps ... I am now being a troll and tell people I am 4'33" ... You should see their faces. Math is really hard :-) And you need to work on your punctuation ... I'm sure you should have written:" I'm a pretty, tall girl." :-)

I am 5'8" with size 10 clodhoppers. Just laugh it off. Or tell him you've heard a man's shoe size relates to the size of his, er, manhood and it's a shame his isn't bigger. That'll shut him up.

9.5 isn't even big...my bestie wears a 10 and my cousins wear like size 13 or something D: I was lucky enough to be 5'10 and wear a size 8.5 but 9.5 isn't that big. He is just a dick.

One of the most beautiful women I know is a size 11. 6 feet tall, thin, extremely pretty. She makes my yearly salary in a month (I am a engineer with 18 years experience). She feels bad, BUT nobody has ever turned down her request for shoes (she does not hesitate to purchase $x,xxx shoes). Plus being a 6'3-6'4" beautiful blonde... yea.

Don't worry about him-he's stupid! I'm 5'9" and wear anywhere from 9-10. Ignore him, you're fine with your big feet (and probably long toes). ;)

5'4" here, size 10 feet and I'd never had a problem finding shoes to fit nor does anyone care about my shoe size. That guy has serious issues, don't let your self esteem plummet because of a weirdo. 8.5 is as average as you can get. I still don't see the big deal about women having to have tiny feet either. An ugly little foot is much more unattractive than a well groomed big one.
