Today, I went on a date with the hottest guy I've ever met. He is also rich and successful, and would probably be perfect for me, if only he could stop bragging about it. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Back to the comfort zone I go
Today, I tried to step out of my comfort zone and go out with a guy who’s not my usual type. He spent the whole date griping and complaining about how women never go for “nice guys” like him. When I pointed out we were currently on a date, he said, “I mean hot girls.” FML
Never again
Today, I went on a date with someone I considered a real catch, my potential soulmate even. He ended up telling me about his fetish for "female smells", sang loudly in Italian in a crowded restaurant, and ate most of the food on my plate. Man, fuck dating. FML
Get it on, bang a gong
Today, I'm dating the perfect guy. He's smart, considerate, charming, funny, good looking and we have a ton of interests in common. He also can't get it up. At all. FML
Today, I went on a blind date. All my date would talk about was how he was 'really his own best friend'. FML
Today, I went on a date with a guy that I really like. At the last minute he informed me a friend would be tagging along. To keep his friend from being a third-wheel, I kept up a conversation, and managed to piss my date off. He thought I would be a better match for his friend. FML
Decisions, decisions
Today, I realized I have two guys interested in me. One is a boring lump who has a good job and takes me to nice places, and the other is a hilarious hot sexy goofball who can't hold down a job and shamelessly mooches off me. FML
Today, I went on a blind date. All my date would talk about was how he was "really his own best friend." FML
What the hell is even that?!
Today, I went on what I thought was a date. After a wonderful night with a perfect gentleman, he told me how excited he is that he's moving in with his girlfriend next week, and thanked me for reassuring him that he doesn't want anyone but her. FML
Today, a very attractive man asked me out on a date, and I said yes. He is tall, charming and a very good kisser. I'm sure the woman he heavily made out with after I left would agree. FML
Brain fogged
Today, I was on a date with a very intelligent and handsome guy. I was so nervous that when he was telling me about his twin sister, I asked him if they were identical twins. FML

Being good-looking, rich, and having many achievements tends to raise one's ego. Deal with it or move on.

First date? It can be the nerves? Try second date and decide afterwards....

People tend to brag about the only good thing they've got going for them... it's quite a shame so many rich/successful people are a pain to be around. Oh well, marry him and hope he'll stay busy at work so you can play with the poolboy.

and this is funny... why????

You should be HAPPY to not be dating him. Looks and money do not compensate for personality.

Hope gold diggers hit even more fail :)

Perfect for you because you're so great? Seems like the OP has ego issues as well.

OP is saying that if he would stop bragging, he'd be pretty much the perfect guy, making him perfect for, well, pretty much anyone. If she'd said that she was perfect for him, that'd be egotistical, but as is, her ego seems pretty normal-sized.

BTW, it does not make you a gold digger just because you appreciate someone successful. When picking a mate, why would stability not be one of the requirements? We don't know what kind of career she has. I absolutely expect a guy to make money in a stable career. I expect the same of myself. There's nothing wrong with it if you hold yourself to the same standards. I don't want to be some girl who is constantly paying for everything for their partner. It's better if both members of the relationship are self-sufficient. Plus, guys Ive dated, that I make more than, tend to get resentful about it. I consider a gold digger someone who has no ambition except for marrying someone with money. The OP never made that distinction. If she's willing to give up the guy because his personality is no good, I think we can assume she is not a gold digger

So this is what i figured from majority of the responses here. A lot of people who posted are either very jealous of the OP because she got super hot, rich and successful man(according to her at least) and they wish they had that. Or People are jealous because they don't possess those qualities and want to drift women from being attracted to someone like that and put them down for going for someone like this. They fail to see the real picture and get caught up in those 2 or 3 words the OP used to describe the man. They are pretty much the person they are calling the Op or want to be the person they assume the man is like.

Gold Digger is definately the wrong word to describe this situation but I think the point most people are trying to make is that the guy his is an egotistical douche yet she thinks he's perfect for her based on the fact that he's hot and rich. That is pretty shallow.

So, if all he did was brag about himself, where did you find the time to realize he'd be perfect for you? Or were you just basing it on him being "hot, rich, and successful"?

If someone is hot, rich, successful AND has a great personality...they're pretty much perfect for anyone. He obviously lacked in an important area.
GreenYamo 0
Sure, if everyone is shallow.

Haha, you do understand that guy would be the jackpot, right? Rich/successful = hardworking and stable. Hot = you need to be attracted on some physical level, so why not have someone super attractive? Great personality=you get along beyond the physical. Thats just common sense, not shallowness

YDI for being a golddigger who only cares about looks and wealth

Yeah, I was going to say something similar. The guy probably cheats on the women he's dating...and was probably cheating on someone else with you (O.P.) Grab some morals and find yourself a real man

Obviously she doesn't only care about that, or she wouldn't be posting his personality flaw as an FML.
