Today, I was working at a shoe store and was helping a dude try on shoes. He looked like trouble and I wanted to finish with him. When he finally picked his shoes, he abruptly stood up and ran out of the store with the shoes on. The cost of them was deducted from my salary. $240. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Pennies From Heaven
Today, I bought some shoes, but pissed off the lady working at the store by returning them 5 minutes later. She yelled at me and ripped my receipt in half, everyone in the store watched as she threw a handful of pennies at my face. FML
Our soles
Today, while shopping for a pair of shoes, I saw a pair I really liked lying around, so I sat down to try them on. Then, a man came up to me and pointed out that they were actually his shoes. FML
The price is right
Today, I wore my new shoes to work, feeling confident. Halfway through the day, I found out that I'd forgotten to remove a giant price sticker on the left sole. My boss pointed it out during a meeting, as I crossed my legs. FML
Shook
Today, a male employee at a shoe shop helped me try on shoes. Once I found a pair, I went to pay for them. I was telling the cashier about how great of an employee he was when she told me there were no male employees. A guy with a foot fetish helped me find shoes. FML
Today, I was trying on some shoes when I felt the heels break underneath me. Not only did they cost two paychecks worth, but as I was leaving I heard the sales girl say that "we really should have a weight limit for who can try on our products." FML
Today, while trying on clothes in Macy's, someone decided to throw some shoes over the wall and into my changing stall. I now have a black eye. FML
Today, I was in a shoe store. I picked up a shoe so I could look at it, but when I put it back on the shelf, the whole shelf fell down, making all the shoes fall to the ground. The people behind the counter started clapping. FML
Today, while working the register, I told a kid his total was $2.15. He then took his shoe off and handed me his money. It was damp. FML
Today, I was helping an old man find a pair of shoes. I told him about a particularly comfortable pair but had to inform him that they only came in black or white. Hearing this, the old man grabbed me around the neck and began to beat me in the head with our display shoe. He wanted brown. FML
Today, I was kicked out of a job interview at a clothing store for "not dressing appropriately" for the occasion. I'd purchased my outfit from the same store just two days prior with my last $100. FML

there's no way he can deduct the cost of the shoes from your salary.....there is no way you can be held accountable for theft unless you were letting him try the shoes on right next to the exit of the store or w/e but even then, theft of store items should be reported and should be covered by the stores insurance policy.....next time, dont wither so easily under your boss and stand up for yourself......

when you are not at work, get a friend to have the boss wait on him. get the most expensive pair of shoes and run off with them on.

YDI for being a kind, helpful worker.

And that's why you only ever give them the one shoe to try on - nobody's going to steal just one shoe! Unless they only have one leg, in which case it'd be easier to stop them from fleeing the store.

Bullshit. You can't punish an employee because of a shoplifter. Even a ******* retard of a manager would know that.

Agreed. It's actually illegal to make an employee pay for broken or stolen merchandise, or even if your drawer comes up short. Tell your boss this, and if he doesn't give you your money back, you can sue in small claims court for that money plus the cost of your time and fees to sue.

Wow! For me, when the drawer at work came up short, $8 was deducted from everyones paycheck. I bet it was the boss who stole the money anyways.

I hate when people post lies! There's no way a boss would make you pay for them....unless you walked away from the customer for an extended period of time....in which, you're an idiot. If you let your boss take money out of your paycheck....you're an idiot!
