Today, I was working at a shoe store and was helping a dude try on shoes. He looked like trouble and I wanted to finish with him. When he finally picked his shoes, he abruptly stood up and ran out of the store with the shoes on. The cost of them was deducted from my salary. $240. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Pennies From Heaven
Today, I bought some shoes, but pissed off the lady working at the store by returning them 5 minutes later. She yelled at me and ripped my receipt in half, everyone in the store watched as she threw a handful of pennies at my face. FML
Our soles
Today, while shopping for a pair of shoes, I saw a pair I really liked lying around, so I sat down to try them on. Then, a man came up to me and pointed out that they were actually his shoes. FML
The price is right
Today, I wore my new shoes to work, feeling confident. Halfway through the day, I found out that I'd forgotten to remove a giant price sticker on the left sole. My boss pointed it out during a meeting, as I crossed my legs. FML
Shook
Today, a male employee at a shoe shop helped me try on shoes. Once I found a pair, I went to pay for them. I was telling the cashier about how great of an employee he was when she told me there were no male employees. A guy with a foot fetish helped me find shoes. FML
Today, I was trying on some shoes when I felt the heels break underneath me. Not only did they cost two paychecks worth, but as I was leaving I heard the sales girl say that "we really should have a weight limit for who can try on our products." FML
Today, while trying on clothes in Macy's, someone decided to throw some shoes over the wall and into my changing stall. I now have a black eye. FML
Today, I was in a shoe store. I picked up a shoe so I could look at it, but when I put it back on the shelf, the whole shelf fell down, making all the shoes fall to the ground. The people behind the counter started clapping. FML
Today, while working the register, I told a kid his total was $2.15. He then took his shoe off and handed me his money. It was damp. FML
Today, I was helping an old man find a pair of shoes. I told him about a particularly comfortable pair but had to inform him that they only came in black or white. Hearing this, the old man grabbed me around the neck and began to beat me in the head with our display shoe. He wanted brown. FML
Today, I was kicked out of a job interview at a clothing store for "not dressing appropriately" for the occasion. I'd purchased my outfit from the same store just two days prior with my last $100. FML

there's no way he can deduct the cost of the shoes from your salary.....there is no way you can be held accountable for theft unless you were letting him try the shoes on right next to the exit of the store or w/e but even then, theft of store items should be reported and should be covered by the stores insurance policy.....next time, dont wither so easily under your boss and stand up for yourself......

when you are not at work, get a friend to have the boss wait on him. get the most expensive pair of shoes and run off with them on.

Is your boss expecting you to physically confront a criminal to protect his profits? Who is he, Mr. Krabs?

Way to NOT sound like a judgmental ****-stick. The fact that you had to use "redneck" in your example is what is making me respond to this. You clearly have no education for not knowing the true definition of a "redneck". You're also partially racist & uneducated by saying; "You are white aren't you." - First of all, that should be a question mark not a period, congratulations on being an illiterate, uneducated, judgmental ****-stick. Who says that rednecks are only white? Quit being stereotypical!!! You said the reason you posted that comment is because he was being stereotypical, so who says that all rednecks are only white? Practice what you preach. This is what you said; and I quote..."See how stupid making assumptions about the nature of someone who you did not see, whose race was not listed." - The person whose comment you originally replied to did not have a listed race. So, as you said; see how stupid making assumptions about the nature of someone who you did not see, whose race was not listed is? Congratulations, but you FAIL!

Wow... I'm surprised shoe stores don't have more security against this type of event. While trying on shoes, they actually ask you to walk around, sometimes outside the store, to see how they feel. Obviously you have to do this, but they don't keep track of you at all while you're doing it. It's really not your fault he got away unless you were supposed to take some kind of collateral, like a credit card, before he tried them on. FYL.

Yes, take their credit card everytime they try on some shoes.. ><

That's totally illegal. Don't let them get away with taking it out of your paycheck. They can't, by law.

you should have tripped him. xD

That's totally illegal, and your boss is just trying to cover his own sorry ass. Try complaining higher up in the company. It's not your fault they lack security.

fake...no store will deduct from your salary because someone stole from you and them. it's illegal.. it's not as if you can just predict whenever someone might steal something...FYL for having to make shit up, at least.

i love your ignorance in assuming that just because there is a law, it is followed. ha ha
