Today, I was walking to work when I saw an empty pop can. Angry at whoever left it, I kicked it out of the way. Turns out it wasn't empty; it was filled with hornets. I had to run 2km to work while being attacked by a giant swarm of wasps. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I saw a wasp on the ground, apparently injured and unable to fly. It was being mobbed by ants and looked certain to die, so I stamped on the ants to save its life. At this point it sprung up, stung me, then flew off. FML
Today, while mowing the lawn, I ran over a hornet's nest. FML
Today, this huge wasp started flying around me. I freaked out and started running from it. Then I slipped, landed face-first in some dog poo, and got stung by the wasp on my leg. FML
Ouchies
Today, I was stung by a wasp. Startled, I stumbled and grabbed a nearby tree branch to regain my balance. The branch happened to be the location of the wasp's nest, which fell to the ground and split open. The wasps weren't happy. FML
Invasion
Today, I went to clean my roof when something buzzed by my head and a sting hit my neck. It turns out there's a small nest of, like, five hornets just chilling outside of my window. I found a dead one on the desk in my bedroom. FML
Today, while using a portable restroom at the park, I discovered all too late that some very hostile and territorial hornets had made it their home. FML
Today, I had food poisoning. When I was finally able to drag myself to the kitchen for some Gatorade, I got stung by a wasp. FML
Today, I was going to set up my air conditioner in the window. As I opened up the window, I must have disturbed a wasp nest, because a dozen wasps flew in and several of them stung me. The rest are now somewhere in my house with my terrified girlfriend. FML
Today, while mowing the lawn, I was attacked by an underground hornet nest. I now have many stings, two scared dogs, and a mower still running outside. The hornets are swarming it and some are sitting on the lever, as if to turn it off. It's like they know. FML
Today, whilst out on a walk with the dogs, I decided to explore a different part of the woods. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my bum. Then another. And another. I realised it was wasps and ran. I've been stung 11 times and have to go back tomorrow for the coat I dropped. FML

You were angry because someone left a can of pop on the ground? Lol. FYL about the hornets though, that sucks.

if you were angry because some one left something on the floor, would you not pick it up and throw it in the bin than kick it? which isn't solving anything. YDI.

For all those who continue to post that a hornet is not a wasp, here is the Wikipedia definition of a hornet; Hornets are the largest eusocial wasps, that reach up to 55 mm (2.2 in) in length. The true hornets make up the genus Vespa, and are distinguished from other vespines by the width of the vertex (part of the head behind the eyes), which is proportionally larger in Vespa; and by the anteriorly rounded gasters (the section of the abdomen behind the wasp waist).

I feel bad for you. What kind of jackass fills a can with hornets, and leaves it for someones demise? Seriously, Multiple stings from many hornets can KILL! So whoever did it deserves to be sued.

WTF does being a hippie have to do with calling soda "pop?" Many people in the midwest call it pop.

How much of a "swarm" could fit in a pop can? And whoever asked who would "put hornets in a can" is a dumbass. Nobody "puts hornets in a can" as a hobby, they're attracted to the sugar residues left behind from the soda. Jesus.

I bet there was like one bee in there instead of 'a swarm of hornets'

You do realize the United States is going to collapse in on itself, right? There is currently nothing good about living "down south" and the majority of the world uses the metric system, you douche!

too bad you only have to run about 200 yards before a swarm will give up and stop following you. but ok...

So.. you're mad at whoever left it there, and instead of picking it up, your immediate reaction is to kick it? Really?
