Today, I was trying to show my boyfriend how to shake my iPod to shuffle songs. When I went to shake it, it flew out of my hand and hit him in the face. FML

Today, I went to give my boyfriend a hug and accidentally knocked his brand new phone out of his hand. The screen was broken. FML
Today, my boyfriend threw me into his pool. I had my phone and iPod in my pockets. FML
Today, I was hanging out with my boyfriend. We were driving to his hockey game and he was joking around about throwing my favorite hoodie out of his window. While swinging it around, my brand new iPhone flew out of the pocket and the window, getting run over by a car. FML
Today, my boyfriend dumped me because his iPod app said I was cheating. FML
Today, I was making out with my boyfriend. He got a text and reached over to get his phone. In the process, he elbowed my face and busted my lip. He laughed. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were playing around. He threw me over his shoulder and turned around, smacking my face against the wall. Then he smacked my head into the fridge after turning round to see "what that loud bang" was. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were having a shower together for the first time. He was trying impress me and did some sort of dance move, he slipped, and when he fell he kicked my leg out causing me to fall and hit my face on the faucet. FML
Today, I used a prank app, where you shake the cell, and it makes the screen looks cracked. I ended up losing my grip on the phone. It went flying, and it is now cracked for real. FML
Today, while on the treadmill, my iPod fell and shot out underneath my feet. I got off to get it, and when I tried to get back on, I slipped and fell on my face on the moving track. The whole gym watched me get beat up by a treadmill and clapped when I finally got back on. FML
Today, my boyfriend was telling me about accidentally punching his best friend in the face. As he was acting it out he ended up punching me and giving me a bloody nose. FML

See, that's the problem. No one bothers to check if there's a better device than an iPod out there, they just buy an iPod because they know the name. With my Archos, I have Wifi, a 4" screen, DVR capability, a 30GB hard drive, and an internal speaker, for $300. And I bought this a year before the first iPod touch came out. Apple's always been behind the curve, at least in MP3 players. http://www.archos.com

No you don't, if anything, you just reinforced his point. You didn't bother to look at anything, you just mindlessly chimed in to your beloved ipod's defense, and failed miserably. The ipod is $199 for 8 gigs, so where do the other 22 gigs come from? The higher priced ones have more storage, but come at the $299 price, making your argument null either way. Also, the ipod has a 3.something inch screen, not 4. The ipod doesn't do DVR either, and brought all its other supposedly "new" features to the table AFTER the archos did.
