Today, I was talking to one of my British friends online, and he told me to say "yew anchors" a few times really fast. I'm a fairly stupid person, and wasn't very focused, so I did as he said. When I finally figured what the words meant, my dad had heard and grounded me for cursing. FML

#7, I don't know how to say this in a way that doesn't sound sarcastic, but THANK YOU! that would have taken me ages to figure out by myself.

Its wankers not anchors

#50, way to completely miss the point of the joke. When you say "yew anchors" fast, it sounds like "you wankers." So no, it wasn't misspelled. Learn to read.

I'll have to try that. I'm sorry about themisunderstanding though.

Maybe you can get him to say bloody hell or something in some cleaver way

I knew what it meant, but living in America, I had no idea it was considered a cuss word.

How old are you? If you're old enough to use this site it seems kind of idiotic to ground you for cursing. I wouldn't let my kid say obseneties in public but I can't imagine grounding them for something I heard them say alone to themselves in their own rooms.

Wanker is a funny word

Hahahaha sad but funny

You got grounded for saying 'wankers'? Fun parents you must have.
